Obviously a search will fnd some answers however I don;t trust oline reviewsl I have a bunch already but would greatly appreciate a ton more suggestions!

I have an old white DS, how much do they go for used, do you know? I only ever got into super mario and pokemon way back.

I only have chrono trigger but it wasn't that great :/

Are you crazy? Chrono trigger is a fucking classic.. BUT its better on the SNES I assume.

I did download fire emblem..but I heard the new one makes the old one look like complete shit

Here's my collection.
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn - (Can't get into it, not as good as the gba games)
Lost In Blue - (Extremely addictive, and worth the purchase)
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 - (Still yet to play at all, but the gba one was alright, and the ps1 was terrific)
Yoshi Island DS - (One of my favorites, the Snes one was great too. This game looses a little playability on DraStic, but is still good)
Mario Kart DS - (Good fun, likely 10x better if you play online too)
Final Fantasy III - (Alright, i think my expectations psyched me up to much for this one, story ain't great)
Resident Evil 1 DS - (Doesn't offer much to the original, but it's still good)
Dragon Quest IV - (I am yet to play this one, but Dragon Quest is a great series, so i'm sure it's great.)
Dragon Quest V - (Same situation as above)
Metroid Prime Hunters - (Good game, and i enjoy it more on DraStic than on the actual DS)
Polarium - (ok game, but the replay value is pretty bad)
Super Mario 64 DS - (Awesome! the changes from the original are nice)
Trace Memory - (This was my first ever DS game, it's not that great. Can beat in six hours)
Mario and Luigi Partners In Time - (Entertaining, and fun gameplay, but nothing amazing)
Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside Story - (Same as above)
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker - (I was extremely disappointed with this game. The changes to the breeding system from the gbc classics was inferior to the original system.
Full Metal Alchemist Dual Sympathy - (Terrible game, Only created to cash in on the popular anime!)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Rings of Fates - (Great fun, i thoroughly enjoyed this game. Much better than the terrible Gamecube original)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echos of Time - (I haven't played this one much yet, but it seems like it'll be just as good as Ring of Fates)
The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hour Glass - (It's not bad, but i prefer the old style game play with the gbc and gba)
Dragon Quest IX Sentinels of the Starry Skies - (Probably one of the best games available, top notch)

You try Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin yet? You might want to look into Radiant Historia too, I haven't tried it yet, but it looks promising with the Chrono Trigger comparisons.

Yeah I grabbed Radiant Historia it had some good ratings. I haven't played Castlevania yet but I just got an R4 so.. I should be fucking shit up on it shortly

The only 2 DS games I played and beat multiple times are the Final Fantasy IV remake, and Resident Evil: Deadly Silence.
Other than that I find the DS to be a shitty system. Those two games made it worth it.

What type of games do you usually like to play?
I ask because i found the DS to be amazing. I also own it competitor, the psp, and i found it had minimal games i liked.

I like my DS hardware, I have a slick black one. The GBA is my favorite hand held for actual gaming. The older PSP's are amazing for emulation. The only PSP game I own is Megaman X remake.
I am just a gamer, gamer. I will play anything. If it's good, I like it. If it's shit, ehhhhh we'll see. If it's Madden, you can go fuck yourself.
That probably wasn't specific enough, but I am playing my 360 most frequently atm. Halo, COD Zombies, GTAV, just to same some things I like.
The new Tomb Raider was awesome. The Wolf Among Us was also awesome.
Now I went off topic.

Sadly, I still only own animal crossing for the 3ds. Nothing else seems that great at the moment - though I shall check out the games listed above. I'm not into pokemon so it's a struggle
I also have no money at the moment, but that's an entirely different issue.
My friends play fire emblem and I played the GBA one so I might check that out eventually. I feel I wouldn't even be able to play with my friends though - by now they've put so many hours in, it's ridiculous

Grab an R4, they are only 20$, real easy to set up and you can download 100's of DS games and play them free. Would need to just get a micro sd card
