Does anyone have experience with finding active Gyms growing on palms? I've found Gyms almost identical to these, but they were growing on a cypress log. I'm pretty sure those ones were G. aeruginosus.

From my experience, there are a few different Gymnopilus species taking advantage of a variety of palm (Sabal, Palmetto and even Queen)...live, dead and burned. Here's a link to a page from spring/summer 2013. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18411605#18411605 There's a number of posts displaying bluing palm Gyms.
It became quickly obvious that not every Gymnopilus species found on palm is Gymnopilus palmicola or cyanopalmicola.
As far as attaching any names goes, I do not have a scope and my access to one is very limited so I can't really get to species. I just take detailed notes, photos and collections when I do find them.
Everyone's been making awesome finds recently!

I checked out your thread, good stuff man. I'll try to take more samples and see if they bruise in the fridge, and I'll check the stems and pins for bluing. Heading back tomorrow, although it's dry and cold as balls out now. Hopefully there's still a decent amount of fruits left.
In the mean time, here's three Cubes I gathered from a new location today.

Looks like Pan. Paps, but I thought they didn't fruit from the ground?
Panaeolus Cyanescens
Psilocybe Cubensis
Cubensis look alike, Stropharia Sp.? ? ?
I found some very dry Cubensis in the other field. It got too cold too quick. Damn, Florida.
When Actives naturally get this old and dry do they lose a great deal of potency or should I not underestimate them? I'm thinking of grinding them all up and making capsules.

Beautiful photos!
I think your first photo is likely Panaeolus papilionaceus too, the dung is probably buried. But it may also be Panaeolus acumatis looking at the length of the stem.
Mature mushrooms often lose potency, but usually nothing too dramatic. I suggest older mushrooms should usually be left in the field, but they can also make a nice tea.

That's what I was hoping to do, throw em in a coffee grinder and make some tea bags.
If it was summer I'd definitely be leaving them. It's hard to come by psilocybin when it's this cold, ya know.

Understandable. I went out this morning for a walk, had a great time but not many fungal finds. Pretty frosty.

Definitely did a double take when I saw those
I assume it was the result of the temperature and frost that made them turn that color, usually they just turn dark/black.

I see a crapload of P. Antillarum in my area. Is there a reliable way to distinguish them from P. cyanescens at a glance without scratching the stems?

The best way is just to get a search pattern ingrained in your mind. Panaeolus cyanescens is slimmer and more graceful looking. They will usually be less shiny white compared to Panaeolus antillarum. Pan cyans will also sometimes have a gold to brownish area over the center of the cap similar to Psilocybe cubensis.

The P. Antillarum I find tend to have thicker stems, and pale white caps. Cyans usually have golden caps. Find some nice specimens and compare them, you'll probably see the difference right away.
Here's a comparison.

A few photos from this morning
Psilocybe cubensis
Ganoderma "lucidum"
Panaeolus papilionaceus
Gopher tortoise/Gopherus polyphemus, a keystone species in the southeast.
