are those 66quart tubs?
I remember you saying it's best to use somewhere around 60-100quart monotubs. When doing a 20-tub project, what are your thoughts behind choosing the tubs that you did. What differences would you expect in using 105quart tubs?
I'm wondering if it would be more efficient to use bigger tubs for a grow of that size, or if its worth buying more tubs that are smaller...

Yes.
IME more modest sized tubs provide better efficiency than large tubs, in part because larger monos will struggle to keep conditions consistent inside.
I will never leave my 66qt tubs. I've gotten 10+ ounce dry first flushes on multiple occasions

Got a question sorta along the same lines. Is there a preferred thinkness to your substrate?
From what I've seen around 4" seems to be optimal.
I ask cause I am going to being doing grows with bulk substrate(coir) and rye soon but inside small containers such as bread pan size which will be fruited in a SGFC for now. So currently shopping around for said containers. May do Monotubs in the future but only growing for myself currently, so not much need for that 10+ ozs per flush although would be a site to see
Just dawned on me I have a couple 5 gallon buckets could chop botooms off and use those in SGFC or just use as a monotub hmm decisions decisions

I see the best performance with a 3" substrate. But in practice, my coir recipe generally fills my tubs to the 3.5" mark

I was going to use a four inch substrate, but after reading franks teks I've done a 3 1/4 ( by accidentally drilling my holes a 1/4 inch low ) and began hydrating my wbs before mixing with sub.

Spawning the tubs starts today, pretty much all the bags are at 100%. This puts me a couple days behind on substrates but no big deal there.
As a bonus, I've got 4 tubs (2 cased, 2 uncased) about ready to fruit. I'll post pics of those here too.
And then for december's end, I've got 13 more master jars about 7 days from going to bags. I'll post pics of those as well.
