 Weed coconut oil -(EASY EDIBLE) TEK

EASY SUPER POTENT TEK
What I need:
-Ceramic oven safe bowl (walmart).
-ground/powdered herb (finer the better, I use food processor).
-coconut oil (health food store, online, maybe walmart).
- Soy Lecithin granules/powder (health food store, online, maybe walmart).
-Optional: Funnel and cheese cloth (walmart)
--- What to do:----
Decarb:
-grind herb, place in ceramic dish, and cover dish completely with foil twice.
-preheat oven to 210’f (place covered dish in oven during the preheat phase)
-cook for 20 minutes after oven reaches 210’f.
-Turn off and vent oven. leave dish in oven to cool down (10 minutes), then remove and let dish cool down for another 20 minutes before opening. (30 minutes cool down total before opening).
Cook Phase 1:
-preheat oven 250’f
-melt lecithin and coconut oil in a glass jar in microwave (~1 tbsp coconut oil per gram of herb. And 1 tsp of lecithin will do the trick. The more the merrier.)
Ex. 3.5g herb= 4 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tsp lecithin.
-Add melted lecithin/coconut oil to the ceramic dish. Stir oil/herb mixture up. Cover ceramic dish completely with foil 2x.
-Once oven has preheated to 250’f, place covered dish in oven. IMMEDIATELY reduce heat to 220’f, set timer for 40 mins.
(Initial heat burst is to warm the dish)
-After 40 mins, shut off oven. (Follow cool down procedure described in decarb.)
-Once cooled add additional tsp of lecithin. Stir and recover.
FREEZE 1
-Place sealed container in freezer for 8+ hours.
Cook Phase 2 (final)
-Preheat oven 220’f, place foil wrapped dish in during preheat phase. Set timer 40 minutes.
-After 40 minutes shut oven off. (Follow cool down procedure described in decarb.)
-Stir in additional Lecithin (optional)
Strain
-Cut square of cheese cloth and place inside of funnel.
-Strain out the herb by pouring the oil through cheese cloth inside of funnel into a new dish.
-Strained herb can be reused for future cooking, not as strong obviously.
Freeze 2 (final)
-Place sealed container in freezer for 8+ hours.
*********Remove from freezer and its ready to use!***********************
Ingestion
-You can break off chunks of your herb infused oil and eat it raw.
-You can cook with it, just make sure you don’t get it too hot (above 220)
-Spread it on sweet potatoes
-Put it in oatmeal
-Put it in hot chocolate
-You can melt it in the oven (low temp) and pour oil into gelatin capsules. This can be done more effectively if you use less coconut oil per gram. I have not tried this.

This is originally badkat's tek, I just condensed it down to make to make it easier to read and follow. I am having amazing results with this, blows all other edibles ive ever made out of the water. I feel good off just .1g worth of bud this way. And .3 is STRONG!

What is the advantage of using coconut oil over any other oil extraction teks? I'm not bashing your tek, I'm just curious.

Here is the info, all from Badkat's thread

i make this recipe (more or less) and use a syringe to fill empty capsules as you mentioned above.
i have found that the vegetarian capsules will break down faster while in storage than the non-vegetarian ones. so if you go the capsule route get the non-vegetarian ones/regular ones...and after theyre made store them in the freezer just in case.
also i have made this recipe using "reclaim" from an oil rig..and HOLY SHEEP SHIT do they pack a wallop.

haha ohh man I bet, ive never even tried dabs so I can only imagine.
But ya if your making caps definitely get the gelatin ones, you can get 1000 on ebay for 10 dollars.

I love using coconut oil to make ganja oil. I don't even add lecithin. I just do it like you make butter on the stove on LOW LOW heat. Strain it, pour into ice cube trays, freeze. Then you can just take out however many cubes you need for a recipe at at time. Works great...Ima have to try the lecithin in it now though!

Nice man sounds like you figured it out for yourself. Deff throw the lecithin in it now! Try the oven out too, im curious how it compares.
Im guessing on the stove on LOW LOW would be about 180-190 degrees?

Hey I was just talking to a friend and they do coconut oil and plant matter on low in a crock pot for half a day.
I have scorched coconut oil on the stove before and it is gross. Gonna have to try the oven and the crock pot method for sure.

Good tek
If someone wants to try a simple tek:
melt nutella , put in small chunks of weed
0.4g in a small cup of coffee (no weed taste, tasted like regular coffee with a weird consistency)
had me much too high for much too long, never been so high in my life
0.1-0.2g is the dose with this tek I think :-)
and taste was nonexistant, it sounds nasty, but there was no taste of weed
just brewed the coffee extra strong
tasted just like regular strong coffee, drank it all in one go
torn out of body for 12hours+, every second, even with open eyes, very dizzy, everything moved
extremely unpleasant, don't go over .2g of average good hashish
nutella worked much better than butter,cream,oil for me (was out of butter that day so experimented)
those I always needed .4-.6g with, but with nutella .4 was much too much
surprised me

That sounds like a very intense experience. Ive had the vertigo mind splitting but not in a while. I enjoy the mild shift of consciousness and body awareness, I agree .1-.2 is a good amount. I actually probably only eat around .05-.1 most of the time.

I've done this before. It's awesome. I put them in 00 gelatin capsules. Make sure they are gelatin because vegetarian breaks down as said above. Coconut oil is usually in the health and beauty aisle idk why.
I messed it up the first time but the second time worked. I have alot of abv and will be doing this again soon. You can also make them in a crock pot for epic extraction although from personal experience it is alot easier to fuck up. If you get it right though... damn its amazing.
AVB is awesome for this tek, you get nice and stoned.

Pullulan capsules are especially high quality non-gelatin capsules and rival gelatin, from what I understand. They're very glossy and rich looking.

how much abv would you say is needed? I have 2.5 grams. Amazing how that is the product of 6 grams. I want to use them as body boosters. Vape and take a couple for the ultimate body/head high.
I'm either going to do that or roll a blunt or 2

I vape at 392F til brown, or tastes like popcorn. Then refill. July alone I went through 1/2 oz. June I went through almost 2 oz...lol bday was June 16 supplied myself with lots of weed. Edit: About 80 grams worth  I never crunched the numbers...but getting 32 g avb is low considering I got less than half back...
So took me 2 months to fill 3 big 1/4 oz prescription bottles. They smell good too...there is green scattered everywhere.
If I wanna get it dark brown/black, I may as well put it in my bong

It's easy. Easiest way is getting isopropyl alcohol(91%).
First, grind herb, then put in freezer 24 hrs. also, put amount of IPA you will use in freezer too.Then decarb bud at 220F for 20-40minutes. Mix IPA with herb in jar, let settle 15 seconds, then shake the hell out of it for 15 seconds. Triple filter IPA and let it evaporate.
Also, you can do more washes of IPA to get more stuff. The more you do the washes, the Darker your hash gets. It eventually turns to a dark goo.
Use a little baking soda to make the hash easier to work with. It won't stick to your razor since it'll start forming like a rockier substance completely safe too, considering the extremely high boiling point(1500F+)

Save half (16g) for the weed coconut oil!!! You wont be dissapointed.

2.5g is fine. The process just takes a bit of time (Super easy though), so I suggest you make it with alittle more so you can get a good quantity of oil to last you a while. I usually go with 3gs grinded nugs.
But if you wanna do it with your 2.5g avb to just to try the tek out and see how it works for you, go for it!
It will be good practice too.

Don't use isopropyl alcohol! Get some grain alcohol.
I definitely would not add baking soda. We ain't cookin crack here.

You don't have to take my advice, you know. Never tried grain alcohol, ill look into that next time i have plenty lf avb. sodium bicarb really helps with consistency also, and I notice no difference in taste.
I sped up evaporation and left some avb residue. Left is first IPA wash 30 seconds with 16 grams, sodium bicarb added. To the right...Second wash is also 30 seconds, but no sodium bicarb...it's a bit harder to work with as you can see.
But I guess you will leave baking soda for pastries and crackheads

Isopropyl alcohol is only to be used for wiping down grain jars and your hand for sterile procedure.
Nasty shit. You always want the cleanest solvent when making hash.
Whoever said oil was easy to work with?!
Bust out the Pyrex and razor blades son.

When making hash in any method, the most important element is a clean solvent. Whether alcohol or butane or any other solvent (including ice which obviously isn't a solvent.)
I just wanna stress this point so we don't have anyone read your post and go home and make some hash with isopropyl.

Why do you freeze it? Every time I used to do this I never froze it, I also don't remember it being in any recipes

Never tried with lecithin. I'll have to experiment. Coconut oil is the bomb though for ganja oil.

Alright I made em. Everything is capped. 36 Capsules made with 2.3 grams abv
I took 5, and will up the dose to 10 in a little. Will report whats good when I start feeling them hard.
36/2.3 grams of abv
so 15 for 1 gram if my math is correct. I have a very low tolerance so here we go. Will vape at peak
EDIT: how long will it take to come up? I never tried with lecithin so I heard its different. And damn I forgot how good these burps taste. Coconut + weed is a good flavor

Depends on stomach content. For me I start feeling it within half an hour and by 1.5hours its ON.
Did you do the freezes and everything? 2 Bake cycles?
I think your math is correct.
So 5-10 should be GOOOD. I have a very low tolerance too, 5 would be plenty for me.

its abv and nah I didn't freeze. Wasn't 100% necessary according to other teks. I'm about to vape and see what goes on. I feel a slight head buzz and EVERYTHING is comfortable.

ah yea forgot you were using a small amount of avb. For that small amount probably not necessary for the extra time involved. But from what ive read on that tek and badkat's thread, the freeze does seem to make a big difference in peoples potency and seems to be pretty important. So in the future I would definitely incorporate the freeze into your process.

I was just thinking about doing this the other day, strange. I have switched over to coconut for all of my culinary needs so I was wondering how well it would work. I'm going to give it a shot soon but I think I'm just going to do it on the stovetop and with no soy ingredients or anything like that, just oil and cannabis.

So last night I got a wild hair up my ass and threw a little ABV and some fresh bud into a pan with some coconut oil. Tossed that in a kale shake once I was done and holy shit was I impressed. 
I now know what I'll be doing with my ABV from now on.

Ive done this before. Made some pretty nice oil. However, I just baked cookies with mine. Ever had a cookie recipe call for butter but sub coco oil instead? Nassssttttaaaayyyyy! Butter for my trim. Although I will take a dab of coconut oil and smear it on a budder cookie for the medical effects.

haha ya those cookies wont taste quite the same. You can follow the same tek but instead of using coconut oil you use Ghee (clarified butter). I wonder how it compares to using coconut oil.
They sell Ghee for pretty cheap at trader joes, I bought a jar a last week in case I feel the pull to try.

Still not halfway done my batch  I gotta start vaping again lol. Been toking up lots lately. I forgot how good edibles feel. And the olfaction suprise when you let some kids out into the pool my dookies smell like bud every morning! Haha

Haha no problem, its really easy. Using the oven (as long as you have temp gauge) you cant really mess it up. It will be well worth your time!

Beef tallow (I recommend grass fed) is great cheap fat that will work. Much tastier than coconut oil too, which has a very chemical taste. That being said, I aspire to go vegetarian. Actually any animal fat will work. Also, butter, but butter's expensive.

That is interesting about cacao butter!
I have considered using a mixture of coconut oil and cacao butter for the tek, I think coconut oil has more MCT so a mixture would be good. Maybe like 80/20 coconut/cacao butter ratio.
Im curious how lard compares to Ghee.
I just saw pure MCT oil on amazon. I wonder how that would work.
