this is what happend overnight..

because i've had extreme success with invitro bags i just threw these on a table that will let them get sunlight. this is exactly the process i did with my first grow & it worked out so i'm hopeful. if they go bad its whatever, it's an experiment i wanna do.
the bag on the left has a few slits in it and the bag on the left is pe6 that apparently does well with the high co2 so ill just leave that one to see if i can get FAE from the filterpatch.

update on the monos..

for those jars in the first & second pictures is a month a really long time or decent for MS? (it's been 28 days)

I'm going to shake the jars in the fifth picture tonight probably.

I had an experience starting with multi-spore solution where it took three weeks just for the spores to germinate and another three weeks till it reached completion..Everything worked out just fine too. Veterans use a gambling analogy to describe cultivating fungi with non-isolated genetics. Your pictures look fine to me, although I've read that using the filters you have installed on the jars in the first picture aren't optimal. I always thought they were more suitable for liquid cultures or perhaps agar cultures in jars...Could be mistaken, but I believe synthetic filter discs are prime.

thanks PaperTiger,

those jar lids in the first pic were grain spawn jars provided by a sponser, i'm sure theyre fine.

the ones in the 5th picture were lids i made with blue injector ports (or high heat silcone ports) & the easy felt tek. they seem to be okay as well

I know MS is gambling in the best sense but i was just wondering if a full month would be too long for a jar to be incomplete. Thanks again for your input!!

I have found in my short assay into the craft that you cannot be successful without acquiring some patience.  Definitely a plus.

Those filters will definitely slow down the mycelium as they don't provide enough GE. They are good for LCs and they WILL work for grain jars but they aren't optimal. That and PE is slow anyway ^^. Looking good though.

Yeah i've noticed A LOT of difference in the speed of colonization right here during the last 5-10%:(

you think they might be stalling?

they look fine, no contams. nice mushy smell through filters..

is easy felt better? im just concerned i guess.. i have enough patience for sure, im just a little worried with how they are completing.. again those LC filters came with a sponsors set of grain jars that were suposively not for a GLC lol

edit:
by the way, ive been keeping my house a little warmer than usual @ around 73ish.

They will work but they will take a while to complete. As seen in other places on these forums the problems come in the last 15-25%.

EZ felt is good, SFDs are good, Tyvek is good

Could be from anything. Just means the mycelium is under some type of stress. Keep an eye on the jar. If it stalls out you are in trouble.

I suppose if you want to make sure it gets extra air you can prepare your SAB really good and then open the jars and give them a wave or 2 with the lid and close them back up.

I'd rather not risk contams, I'll give em some more time before i resort to such drastic measures..

 :stoned:

forgot about this BRF bag..

spawn to one of my 1lb manure bag or save for grain & fruit invitro?

the jars look like they are pretty well colonized it could be a single premature pin you will want to do something with those jars soon
