I've NEVER tripped on acid or shrooms without smoking weed throughout the whole trip.
I wonder if I should try tripping "sober" some time.

I dunno, an indica goes nicely with mescaline.....it really depends, indicas are deeper

If it is a hard acid trip, some pot can be needed if I didn't sleep that night to set my internal clock back.
For some reason I have this thing with dropping acid at midnight or 8pm...

i usually don't smoke any weed until somewhere around the three hour mark. even then, i don't smoke a lot. maybe two big bong rips per hour. keeps the trip going a little longer, tastes wonderful, and mellows the plateau out more smoothly for me. i REALLY like smoking a lot of weed the day after. gives you glimpses of the amazing stuff you were seeing and thinking about the night before.

One time I couldn't find my lighter when tripping pretty hard, almost had a freakout. Luckily there was a spare lighter I found by the fireplace

smoking too early almost seems to lessen my trip but towards the end it intensifies it. everyone is different, though!

I think if you take shrooms to have a spiritual experience, weed can be a nice buffer into your trip and out of. But not during.
It's better when you have several people just taking shrooms for a good time and passing ol Wesley pipes or Billy bong Thornton around.
I used to take shroomies for the fun and giggles with my friends. Recently I've been way more into taking them myself in the middle of nowhere. Just reconnecting.

i prefer solo tripping, too. i like big doses and complete dark. i get down very spiritually. yeah smoking weed during the trip really doesn't even do much to me at all...but if anything, it takes away from MY experiences. as i've said, everyone is different, though! i LOVE smoking when i'm coming down. great way to reflect on what the bejesus just happened to my happy ass. haha.
