I guess I just have a problem with the social control involved here.
I think that people who do drugs should be able to work alongside the minority who do not use drugs.
I'm totally ok with incentivising good work, but I think people who are willing to work should be given something to do, and be held to humane standards.
Also limiting babies. Baby prevention surgeries should be free.

I dont believe in employment drug testing either but let's face the realities of life, it's happening every day to hundreds of thousands of people and the ones that should be drug tested are the politicians

I'm totally for workfare, if you collect a government benefit then you need to be washing cop cars, fire trucks, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping, cleaing roadways, storm drains, etc... at least if you're able bodied enough, if not, other work can be found and it shouldnt be based on whether you want to work or not, it should be based on whether you want to eat or not

If you think I'm more hostile because I receive free food, then, well, idk what to say. I'm grateful that this country gives me food and medical care. I honestly don't show hostility to anything, ever. Not even in this thread. I'm in no way a fighter or a problem causer.
I'd like to see the regional manager at 2am in the morning. If I get caught because of that, then good Lord did they get lucky. But in all honesty I've stolen enough soap, TP, shaving cream, toothpaste, and razors to last a good 3-6 months. Besides, you don't think I just walk out the front door with it do you? I've been stealing since I can remember, and I can remember back to some days in kintergarten and preschool when I was 4 and 5. I've got my methods and they'd have to catch me in a 3 second window, on the side of the building, in the middle of the night. Even if I did notice someone, its in a trash bag that they can't see through and I just fake my way to the trash dumpster until coast is clear.

Tube ties are free to those less fortunate. JOOLZ yup, I have two kids, ten years apart both on WIC. Voucher system would work just fine unless you're trying to screw honest taxpayers out of their money, roll the dice, take the chance. Whoever asked about my bust, my sisters ex husband told a guy I had pot. He got hit on a Missy charge and rolled me, I caught three felonies. Largest indoor bust in my area in 12 years. Go big or go home. My father was the only one who knew the extent of my operation and he used to say "what happens when you get arrested?" to which I always replied "smile for the camera. I held true to my word. I was so published my grandpArents heard of my arrest nearly 1000 miles away. They made me infamous because I refused to roll. I took a 180 in a 23 hour lockdown and five years federal probation with 27 years back up. I have about 1/10th of that left. Let's just say I am a smart gambler;) JOOLZ you are a shame to the game man I don't care how ya tell it. Just like when I got rolled I owned two cars both over five years old and nearly owned a 200,000 duplex I did not flash it. No foodstamps. No high dollar anything. It's about fiscal wisdom, but hey I'm a fuckin Jew..

I'll grow my own food and others if I am allowed, I'll also do shitty service jobs that others wouldn't want, but I'm not gonna wash fucking cop cars
I used to change the oil on police cruisers, but fuck burning my hands for $300 a week working 40 hours. I'll take $50 a week for doing whatever the fuck I want.

OP all your post in this thread made me think of this:
kids these days seem to be so afraid of work! my sister and her husband are the same way - they've been living off the system in some way for years now.

Get back to work you lazies My foodies won't pay for themselves.
But really, it costs $80/day to keep someone in jail, it costs $1million to train each soldier. Conservative estimates. We give $15 billion in military assistance to other countries in 2010. We can obviously afford to feed people.
Is $200/month for a broke ass citizen really asking that much?

Yes, it is.

And we do. The poor in this country suffer from too much eating, not too little.
