There is a shat load of threads in regards to dubstep and other electronic genres in the pub. But I often have music I want to share & post that doesn't quite fall into the genre of the thread, electronic music is evolving beyond genres anyways...So here is a thread for all electronica, tunes of any electronic genre (for dancing or listening to) that are top notch productions, lush, unique, creative... (as subjective as that is ). This isn't a thread for deadmau5krillexnectar, please hold such things for the other threads....
It should go with out saying, but this music was not produced to be played through lap top speakers or listened to through ear buds. A proper sound system or quality headphones for full appreciation.
Four Tet, of course...
Four Tet - Locked
Sorrow....Lots of garage & 2-step vibes from em'. Generally a dark sound with deep rhythms & melodies.
Sorrow - Funky Delight
Sorrow - Distant Recall
123Mrk....Blippy & bassy grooves that I can't help but move to.
123Mrk - Untroubled
123Mrk - Weird
123Mrk - Noname
This dude Rob Clouth has some absolutely insane production skills. The epitome of glitch, crazy sound designs all lathered up in bass. Somewhat akin to Amon Tobin, kinda sorta. For those of you that like glitch or very unique sounds, you'll dig this dude for surely...He incorporates a lot of 3D & binaural sounds into his music, so quality headphones or a quality system is a must.
Vaetxh - Recursion Tree
Vaetxh - Cuntpressor
Vaetxh - Crumbling Shuffle
Vishnu....Dude creates lovely ambient & atmospheric tunes. Most of his work I'm not sure what to label it as.
vishnu - karri
vishnu - dense predestiny
Vishnu - Reverse Psychology
There are many artists & tunes I want to share with you all, and I always enjoy discovering new vibrations to expose me ears to so please share some artists that tickle your auricular fancy. Way too much good music out there.....
*More music from all of the artists I post can be found on soundcloud, if the link/song won't play then it should stream off the artist's soundcloud page.

Legend4ry - Drugs of Choice
Legend4ry - Clint Eastwood
Welder, also known under the moniker "Eskmo"....Everything this dude does, from Eskmo, to Welder, to the collaboration he did with Amon Tobin, is superb. Live Welder sets are somewhat a rarity, and epic to say the least.
Welder - Be My Light
Welder - Run
Eskmo - Amphibian
Bibio : "Dwrcan" (Eskmo Remix)
MEW - Vaccine - (Eskmo bootleg)
Another one of my favorite producers, Thriftworks...Been really diggin' his newer work. Experimental, earthy, stomp, boom, blaps, blipps & bass.
Thriftworks - Swamp Gods
Thriftworks - Tlālōc
Thriftworks - Out Tongue

Four Tet, Eskmo, MEW, Thriftworks, & Bibio: I have heard of all these, but the other artists are new to me. I'll be giving them a listen soon.

I discovered D.V.S* at Camp Bisco this year. His set was magical, one of my favorite of the year. I danced my face off, and hearing this track as the sun was rising in a perfect clear blue sky was a pretty religious experience.
He has a lot of harder stuff too and in his live set was able to weave high energy and ambient seamlessly.

Indeed you do, they're perfect for unwinding after a night of dancing. I always look forward to his sunrise sets.
I've seen two Random Rab sunrise sets so far this summer, one of them was at a small and intimate festival. And one sunset set of his. And, which was probably the most epic, the set he played into and during the first moments of the solar eclipse back last spring at the Symbiosis Gathering. The way he slowly tapered the music into super soft & fuzzy sub-bass and quiet sounds as the moon was passing in front of the sun was epic, then silence...absolute silence among 8,000 heads, he did it so well I couldn't even put my finger on the moment that the music went silent.
"....There were two dancers at opposite ends of the stage; a man in white and a woman in black, symbolizing the Sun and Moon. They ever-so-slowly inched closer and closer together, their movements barely perceptible, much like the movement of the Moon through the Sun.
They finally culminated in an embrace, just as the Moon was directly over our beloved blazing ball, creating the beautiful illusion of a “ring of fire.” Once this happened, the entire festival went silent. All sound shut off (an incredibly sacred moment, after 4 days of non-stop booming beats round-the-clock). A ripple of OMs went through the 8,000+ crowd, generating the most powerful, beautiful hum of the universe I have ever experienced. I’m pretty sure they could hear us from Outer Space.”"
Such an incredible moment...the feeling & vibes that permeated the air during the eclipse was unreal.

Here is a short mix by Russ Liquid. This man knows how to get dance floors moving, I love his live sets. Starts slow & lush, picks up though. The song that drops @ 10:20 is .
"Future Vintage"....instrumental, melodic, bassy business. Can't help but smile & move.

Aquadrop is fresh as hell - one of the artists I've been really into lately. This tune's on his latest EP. I highly encourage you to check him out if you're interested in future sounds.

Nice....I dig it for surely. I can only imagine this in the setting you described. I'll look into more tunes from em'.

Maybe your computer, in defiance of it's habitual circuitry, seeks more novelty than you do. It anticipates your eagerness to play the same tunes you're used to, and instead throws digital hurdles in your path out of a quasi-sentient rebellion against emotional patterns.
They know.

Myself and a close friend today decided that this song either conveys the dream world, or the sense of anticipation like something is about to happen.
Imagined or not, I always enjoy trying to interpret the schematics in my head that arise from listening to certain songs.
On a practical level, it reminds me of Emancipator's work.
