 My Roommate Told Me To Kill Myself

We were having lunch in the cafeteria and I just sort of blurted out, "I think I'm going to kill myself before they kill me." He said in a soft voice, "Do it". I've had thoughts before to the point where I ended up in the hospital that people were trying to kill me. I still do from time to time except I don't freak out about it. I've come to the conclusion that I really don't care if I die tomorrow. It's been a shit run, but oh well, a lot of people have had it much worse. I don't have much of a future in anything so I might as well end it now before I'm stuck in my parent's basement, fat as fuck.

Are you sure it simply wasn't a psychotic episode? I mean.....you have had them before. Are you sure you weren't just hallucinating that he wa trying to get youto kill yourself?

Well for one, he probably thought you were kidding. Y'know, cuz most people DON'T think people are out to get them.
I don't think he told you to do anything, he was just agreeing with you because you brought up an awkward fucking sentence to say AT LUNCH, NO LESS.

Not with that kind of attitude you won't. Do you think a successful future is just given to you? Sure, some people get lucky and know what they want to do, but a lot of people (myself included) don't know what they want to do with their lives. And that is OK. You just need to find what you enjoy, and try different things.
You're going to die regardless. Why not try and make a better situation for yourself. Oh yeah, and no one is out to kill you unless you've been robbing drug dealers.

EVen if you do end up in your parents basement who cares? Most of the world lives with their parents into adulthood whether its Russia or MExico... its only places like America and Western Europe where people move out of their parents house right when they reach adulthood.
Seriously do not commit suicide. You should also stop doing drugs and be sober and clear your head. You don't sound like you are thinking clearly and you need to stop doing drugs. Also you might want to condsider taking a vacation and just relaxing for a bit.

Stay strong and live long brethen. I tried to kill myself a week ago but I was thankfully talked out of it by a Shroomery member who listened to my troubles and told me what my situation was and how to deal with it. I'm glad to be alive and I assume you will be also if you stop thinking about suicide

I've felt like that too, questioned what I add to this world. I've felt unattractive and unwanted in presence, had friendships falter for reasons unexpected to me, but I've lately found some solace.
Please don't do this to yourself, there is so much to experience in life, in terms of the complexity in science, beauty of nature, and simplicity in just watching animals carry out their daily lifestyle. It provides me amusement sometimes to observe antics of the Canada geese that frequent the park near my house. Also, drawing helps too. I myself have never had a romantic partner, never been laid, and still live with my parents. It's not a bad thing! My mother and I have become good friends, and I have been learning about my culture/linguistic roots from her. And I doubt you don't have a future in anything. What do you like to do?

There are so many burnout drug users commiting suicide on the shroomery. How can we possibly give each one enough attention ?

Well that's a strange thing to blurt out in the cafeteria to your friend. Are you sure that your friend didn't think you were just being silly and so replied to you with something silly?
The future is what you make of it. If ya don't want to end up in your parent's basement, then just don't. There are always options. But a basement ain't so bad. It's not like your parents are locking you down there. You can always move out whenever you get your shit together to do so. Time is on your side. Yes it is.
