Generally i wait for most of the hairs to start turning brown signaling that the calyx isn't going to swell anymore.
Clear trichomes- not mature yet still has THC Cloudy trichomes- Highest THC content Amber trichomes- THC starts degrading and turning into CBD's
CBD's cause a couchlock body stone, its what makes the difference in the highs between strains, otherwise THC is THC. Some plants produce a better quality of THC though.
I wouldn't have harvested those first ones yet, they definately weren't ready. These pics your showing me here aren't either. Only reason to do it any earlier would be because of fear of getting caught or mold issues. Generally speaking, when they start flowering most plants need between 8-12 weeks. Most hit around 9 or 10 and are perfect.
For clearheaded, day smoke-- harvest when its mostly cloudy with few amber trichomes.
For couchlock sleepy time harvest anywhere over 30% amber.

I've also only harvested a few that were nearly destroyed by strong winds, rain, and hail. These recent pics wont be harvested until at least October first, which will put them at 8 to 10 months of flowering time exactly.

No words can describe how jealous I am. I haven't had the opportunity to grow for a couple years and it is starting to take a toll on my psyche. I really need to find a new place to grow.
Congrats on being close to the end!
And i am pretty sure you could smoke it all if you put your mind to it

These were all bag seeds,so I will never know their true origin or genetics.I can tell you,it's all fire, and I wish to hell I would have taken clones On a side note,I had one single plant go Hermie on me,at the end of her flowering cycle. It was only in one patch, and it pollinated all my other full females in that group.I got a ton of seeds, and they should be feminized right?
