I just surfed on the East shore of Cinnabar Island.

We believed Missingno, was an "unreleased" Pokemon from a future gen. It somehow got in, but didn't register on the regular 1-150. So it errored out, that was our theory. Around this time pictures of "Pikablu" were surfacing (what became Marill), we were all speculating. So much lore surrounded these games, it was a magical time.

I saw a well-written, technical explanation of Missingno. It was either a picture, screenshot, or blog. Pretty interesting...I'll try to find it.
