Multistalk mushroom ID help

Habitat: On the ground in mixed woods-- decomposing leaves and pine straw
Gills:I did not see gills-- the shape is cub like
Stem: 2" diameter at the base solid meaty
Cap:No cap-- multi-stalk, velvety peachy orange color-- became sticky when handled
Spore print color: none
Bruising:No bruising when cut-- surface became sticky when handled
Other information: Smelled weird-- like acidic or sourish-- I did not taste

Looks like a young laetiporus species, but there's no way of sayin(for me at least) in this stage of maturity.

It's a Chacken. You did cut it too early, could've had 10x as much Chacken!

They were 3 or 4 more 
What's the best way to prepare?? The boletes I found are the only ones I have cooked-- just in oil, but they are a little bitter I think I cooked too long.

Some Boletes are bitter. Was it identified to species?
I sautee Chacken in butter and put it in all sorts of stuff. I made Chantrelle Chacken pot pie last month.

Chacken cheese steak shall be made soon! Must check tomorrow.
OP: did you receive any rain? COTW grows quick around area, so check frequently.

I went back and harvested more chicken and it was delicious! Do they repeat in the same spots? I haven't seen any others growing around.

They may fruit twice or more in a year. f you found one spot, you can find others.
