Has anyone ever wished you had a recording device to your brain? 2

There are so many things I see and I just can't describe. Even drawing them doesn't really do it justice.
I think the first person to be able to record the images from brain waves would be inventing the biggest break-through in psychedelic history!

That would be a game changer for the entire evolution of consciousness, not to mention what it could do for the P, S & P forum
But yeah, we could also have some fun with it!

You bet! There would also need to be a sound recorder to get sound + image. That way, I could record the music I compose in my mind that I would otherwise soon forget (because I don't know anything about recording music. In addition, I could record the scenes for films that I want to make. A dream recorder would also be a wondrous thing!

yea this would be cool
i hear they are actually making something now that will try and capture and record dreams. i suppose it could work with any/all thoughts really
since it's all just lil neurons shooting at each other, the computer just captures where the shootings take place and recreates the image. right now the technology is still black and white but they project it to get better and we will be able to turn our dreams into movies within our lifetime
crazy stuff!
p.s. i saw this on Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman. Morgan Freeman doesn't lie

Yeah you're right. The things that a pscyatrist could accomplish being able to see what people are actually thinking, seeing and feeling.

And studies could be made on how certain sounds and music, maybe even words would trigger certain thoughts or trips.

It would be cool, but if you think about what you have experienced constantly there would be no time to get out and experience..

If our theoretical recorder could actually capture the entire experience of being you, wouldn't it actually be useless as nobody would have the correct hardware configuration to play it back - your central nervous system/brain?

brain helmets dude if you could hook your head up to a machine and relive the experience in your conscience it would be awesome.

imagine making a tripping simulator of some sort of device that you could attatch to your head and it makes you see, feel and think the same way someone would if they was tripping and you had different setting you could pick which substance, which level 1-5 you wanted to trip ect ... and if the trip starts to go sour u simple press the off button lol

Me neither. Like all things, corrupted people would use it for evil doing. I see the government reverse engineering it to control the way people think. That's the pessimistic side of me.
The optimist sees it as being totally bad ass. Being able to re-live any moment in your life again. So many memories that you could re-live. Experiencing dreams while being awake and aware. Would definitely be interesting. Possibly even being able to live as someone else for a brief time. Weird!

Anyone ever read the oral biography of rant casey? Good book by chuck palaniuk (sp?).
Basically in the book everyone has these spaces in the back of their head where they can plug in and record an experience. You plug it in and go around and do something, and whoever watches your experience after feels it like you feel it. kind of similar.

Your central nervous system could reject the sensory input like an immune system rejecting an organ from an unsuitable donor. The stuff of nightmares!
