I'd invest in real estate, but that isn't really an option due to the current market.
Maybe buy a business, I don't know?
If anything save it, till I find a better option.

My bf has an idea for making energy using a canal so I would use that money so he could build a prototype and then sell that shit for millions.

Buy some CDs, play with the stock market (after you study it for a while), buy some precious metal, help start up a company. Never keep all you money in one spot. spread it out, therefore you spread the risk out.

You'd be surprised how fast compound interest adds up.

Ive got an opportunity to buy 20% of a strip of bars in Orlando for 150k. The actual owner owns 4 of the biggest clubs in Orlando. These bars that i may buy a portion of rake in around 400-500k a month. Ill get 20 percent of this. Plus Ill have access to his clubs VIP free drinks all day everyday. My business partner wants to take some of the money we make and begin a promotion/entertainment company (i.e. Insomniac Events) and use this guys' Clubs to throw some HUGE raves. We'd bring in huge DJ's like Steve Aoki, Deadmau5, etc. That way not only am i continually making around 15-20k a month, but ill be making extra every time our side business brings Producers/Djs/Musicians to the club.
Ill still have 100k after I drop the 150k which i may use towards property in Oregon, a small foreclosed renovation house flipping business that ill get into with 1 other separate friend/business partner of mine

Make sure you see the figures of the last year at least from your bar buddy. I don't believe that he brings in 500k a month.

i would buy a new computer, pay off families debts, give them a few grand each, shove rest in bank and see about investing in shares.

Learn a new trade , Invest in some safe bonds.
Buy a 1911 , maybe a used car nothing over 7k .

I'd hit up my uncle who's a financial advisor. Give him his cut and have him make some worthwhile investments for me. 
And like Trekie said, I would buy a 1911, but I'd also buy a Saiga 7.62.
I'd be super tempted to buy some music equipment; but if I started doing that, I would run out fast.

I would go to a friend of mine, give him $20,000 in cash and ask him to manufacture LSD for me. Then I would spend some more of that money for obtaining information on how to get precursors, actually buying them and the lab stuff.
Then I would sell parts of that LSD (to produce more) and use a few grams to put into a large city's drinking water supply.
