It's a bit older, so I'm about to download and watch it. 
The other day I say "Life in a Day." Recommended!
To me, these films are all reminiscent of Baraka, One Giant Leap, Quatsi trilogies, etc.
This is a darker one:

Wow that's really captivating man. I look forward to possibly watching that movie.
But that serves for better emotional entertainment than it is an accurate portrayal of the average human experience...which is nowhere near that epic.

samsara is set to be released in close to four days also amigo! i love these type of documentaries. lately i've gravitated alot towards HD nature-type documentaries.
two that i would recomend highly are Home (2009) and Timescapes (2012)
definitely will be checking out the otheres you've posted!

Yea, one could also make a film about how mundane and monotonous the average life is. I suppose the aggregate and profound "human experience" effect is achieved by filming particularly difficult experiences and events; or by condensing many of those scenes together - as Ron Fricke is doing here in Samsara:
It depends which message you want to convey - the beautiful blank canvas that is art and selective perception.

what saddens me is that there is soo much gold in this thread already, yet 90% of the shroomderps will not even read over it, or even watch the trailers to see the epic brain food they are missing out on.
