I can honestly say that I would not have taken the money since I'm not a thief Even if the cops probably confiscated the money...
BTW I read the thread's title as 'jacked off a guy'

Heh... what a hypocrite. Why even bother typing this dumb bullshit up.
Ahh, just another piece of shit in the world. Meh...... not surprised. Seems like fewer and fewer people are actually genuinely good natured people
ha thats not what I said at all. I said I am against stealing but I cracked under the pressure of 200 bucks right in front me and all I had to do was grab it. alot of you would too
you're an addict and that doesnt excuse your reaction but it may help explain why it was so "hard" to resist.
theres no point in defending yourself against this horde of judgment
What did you expect a medal or praise?
yea some of us would have done it. Many, even...but not all
It was a fucked up thing to do and i would have done the same but you should not be suprised in the least that most people are not Ok with this.
Fuck em.

I'm not sure what I would have done with the money. It would depend on the circumstances. Wonder why all the money was just sitting in the open like that? I guess he didn't intend on becoming unconscious. About how much cash was sitting there anyway?

take none of the money and call 911 I'd leave the money for the AMR crew. The addict won't be able to pay the hospital for saving his sorry ass, so they deserve some compensation. Also I wouldn't feel comfortable stealing from someone in a helpless position, when there might be cameras in the vicinity, or steal money that is potentially 'bad money' and being tracked somehow.

there is sometimes an issue of giving something a better home, ie neglected plants or other marginalized items, but directly stealing from someone is low.

You can grant that if he didn't take the money, the cops would've chalked that up as drug money and would've kept it for themselves.

I would think that the money would be returned to the guy whose money it is.
Only reason they would confiscate it is if it was drug money (as in, trafficking).

He was found in a Safeway parking lot with a needle in his arm passed out.
They're not going to give a junkie his money back. Anything over a $50 they'd confiscate.

Common Knowledge, they're not going to give $200 to a junkie. He was once again passed out in a parking lot with a needle in his arm. Not the same thing being drunk in public.

Yeah I mean I don't think it was right to right to steal the money but i agree, the cops surely would have confinscated it which sucks
