Pakelika Passes Away

It is with extreme sadness that I have to post this… KMK has posted on their official facebook page that Pakelika has died. Here is the official word from management:
NOBEL ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA and BPM ARTISTS SADLY ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF OUR CLIENT, ACTOR/PEFORMER: “PATRICK COCHRUN also known as: “PAKE LIKA” formerly of the “KOTTONMOUTH KINGS”.
PAKELIKA Succumbed to Cardiac Arrest during an Asthma Attack. PATRICK fought asthma for over many years successfully. There was no way that PAKE LIKA could have foreseen the severity of his last seizure. On the way to the Hospital, EMT’s and Hospital Staff tried to revive him the five times he flat-lined.
PAKE LIKA was on Life Support until Saturday afternoon at PROVIDENCE ST. JOSEPH HOSPITAL in Burbank. HE PEACEFULLY PASSED SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS MOTHER, JULIE MINER, HIS FATHER DAVID COCHRUN, HIS SISTER MEGHANNE COCHRUN AND HIS GRANDFATHER WILLIAM FILLMORE. PAKE LIKA will be missed by his millions of fans for his tremendous energy, love for life and will always be known as a Global Artist, Actor and Activist who tried to make the World a better place for the Displaced Youth and those felt they had no voice. PAKE LIKA WILL KNOWN FOR MAKING THE KOTTONMOUTH KINGS the success that they have become. Ted Maier and my self wish his family and millions of fans our deepest sympathy.

My first concert ever was a kottonmouth kings show many years ago. It was in an old movie theatre and people were wondering if the management would let the Kings and their crowd smoke herb in there. I nervously watched several people get escorted out for joints during the opening acts and a friend and I assumed that our blunt would have to remain in pocket the entire show. Soon after Pakelika walked out on stage with an enourmous hog-leg spliff the likes of which my 14 year old self at the time had never seen. He lit it up and took a huge rip. Instantly we saw a sea of lighters in the crowd spark up to meet joints, bowls, and blunts alike and we proceeded to fog that place out to all hell.

Thiss. KMK was not my first concert but when I was living in MIA they had a show in Fort Lauderdale. I had never smoked indoors at any venue but had a bunch pre rolled. I mean c'mon it was the KMK it was obvious there was gonna be people blazing but never did I expect monster splif to be lit on stage after walking past 5 LEO's to get in the door. After that it was all gravy

I saw KMK and Blaze live in concert in Seattle a few years ago. I was wearing a tye-dye shirt and quite stoned out of my mind lol. I remember someone throwing like a pound of weed on stage, but they didn't pick it up they just kinda pointed at it and was like "YEA THATS THE SHIT" lol.
Anyways it was a sick concert, and a lot of their songs still ring in my head and my playlist on a regular basis, a lot of songs I like a lot and have a lot of meaning to me.
He will be missed

fuck man.... that shit gave me the chills... too sad. my first 4 concerts were hollywood shows of kmk, place was hotboxed every show. RIP

1- Was he known to have asthma?
2- Is it common to suffer a heart attack in the midst of an asthma attack?
3- Anyone think there might have been other drugs involved? I know that often drugs like albuteral (in inhalation form) are used for spot-treatment of an asthma attack...
4- albuteral basically causes a spike of adrenaline. Anyone who's taken a good few rips in a row from an inhaler can tell you what it does to the heart....
5- See points 2, 3,and 4 above.
