Sore throat and lungs

Lately I have been coughing and having a sore throat.
I am suspicious that it is the eastern cedar flute I am playing that is causing this. Which is a shame because its such a beautiful instrument but I will not sacrafice my health. Could the minute particulates be causing this?

Cedar is highly allergenic in general. Have you tried taking an anti-histamine, like Allegra?
