 power company just fried my house

They replaced a transformer this morning and when they were done my house was running at what seemed like 300% power. Hall light like high beams. Xbox, TV, microwave, stove, two computers all fried. Anything plugged in practically. Burned out my cool mist and a grow light too. They said make a list, so maybe I get new electronics? Whole house smells like burnt wire.

yea i wouldn't put too many things you don't have on the list. it wouldn't be hard to look into to it. if i were replacing that shit i would what to see everything that got fried.
also wtf don't you have a circuit board? if there is too much power going through a breaker it should flip off automatically you might want to look into that man.

Ok so I have surge protectors and the breaker box works but what happened is the guys that installed the transformer did it wrong. They sent so much juice through my house that all the surge protectors practically melted from the inside. Most things weren't on but BC they were plugged in they built up heat.
As for dishonesty, I'm not looking for a fat check. I just want ma shat replaced. At the same time I didn't ask them to come destroy my stuff and this isn't going to be fixed tomorrow. In the mean time I have to go buy things like 4 more alarm clocks, school starts this week-and I already blew my load on back to school stuff. Not to mention I have no way to cook at the moment. Whole fridge of groceries going bad while were ordering pizza. Ordering take out for a house everyday adds up too fast for this clown. Realistically this mistake is going cripple me until they decide to smooth it over. It probably is going to require an attourny also...
so we can scrutinize my moral fiber in one hand, and tally up what this is costing me outside of replacing crap in the other. what's left is an accurate representation of what fair restitution should be. I hope they just play nice, but if they don't then I'll pursue the matter until it is remedied. :-P

Its not as simple as making a list. When they turn in these insurance claims that can go into the thousands they sometimes have an adjuster come out to observe everything that is FUBAR.
So remember you may have to back up your claims.

Yeah idk.. They say even when a device its turned off but its left plugged in it draws current. Most of the things that fried were off but they had power supplies plugged in. I think there was to much power for the power supplies to handle and they generated heat. And that increased draw on the surge protector caused them to burn up as well. Idk, I'm no electrician. I know some about DC and digital electronics but that's it. Some of the breakers did flip like the ones to the washer and dryer. But I think all the 110 outlets kept pumping juice.
There might be something wrong with the house wiring too. the landlords did some of the work in the house and I have had to correct some of it. Mostly plumbing and carpentry

Ok. So we still have nothing replaced. With school starting we just didn't have cash for all this right now. we went through and added up what was damaged and came to about 4500 conservatively. They called us and tried to cut us a check for a thousand bucks. Unfortunately I was not the one who took the call but had I been I would have informed them that they are higher than I am!!! That wouldn't replace even one room! Wtf

Yeah I wouldn't advise fraud.
But do not rest until they give you settlement for at least the value of what was lost, fuck that 1/5th shit.
From what you described, they are completely, utterly, 110% responsible for anything lost.
Take them to court if you have to. They wouldn't even let it get that far because you would win.
