That one little pin is still there but kind of growing slowly up the side of the cake, hard to get a pic. But the one pin seen in my pic in the FC is growing quickk  Every couple hours I look at it and see growth. Looking as though more knotting and pinning is occurring in other places as well. YEEE

Looks like you were right! But still not seeing black spots, maybe gaps. I notice i didn't have any growth after i took these pictures. It also got really hot a few days so i opened one of the jars to investigate. It did smell sweet like oysters but like a rabbit cage....oh well, like i said its in the experimental stage.
I think next time i would add more spawn to quart jars and slam them straight down to compact them better.
