yep.
yesterday I was talking to my cousin about how dope of a story Hamlet is and how it must have been jaw-dropping to premier this when it first was played. Then he tells me "I think X theatre will play this soon..." so I'm like who the fuck dares play this classic!! but he was right a local production will play this in may 2013 and my tickets are already bought.
I think this will be a let down because the movie is just so great I don't think any play can compare but I'll see. I really hope I'll be proven wrong.
I also plan to dose a light amount of undetermined psychedelics

Big ups. Hamlet is a great play.
I'm casting my vote for mescaline.

damn I never did mescaline and I can't see this happening anytime soon but who knows? I might get my hands on some since then.
I was thinking LSD, but that is if I ever manage to buy on SR. 25i or 2C-E also came to mind...

No way I could sit still that long on 25i. Bridgesii cactus is readily available online, you could easily have an extraction done by your play date.

I know man, the weirdest part is that cactus is actually legal in canada but all the website selling them are unaware and won't ship to canada! the other set-back thing is the chemicals required for an extraction, I had a fucking really hard time finding VM&P Nafta here...

Hamlet is a great play. Which movie version did you watch? The only one I've really liked is the one with Kenneth Branagh.

There are a couple of versions with Mel Gibson, and Ethan Hawke, then there are a few "classically" produced ones that I have never watched.

The Kenneth Branagh version is pretty much spot on to the written play.

I've read the play, but have only seen it performed when I was involved in the production for my high school drama club. It was what you would expect from a high school drama production, and I know seeing it done by a local playhouse would be much better. But I really do love the Kenneth Branagh movie. He did such a great job.

just got back from the play and it was really fucking good. I'm impressed the most by the actors performance, everybody was perfect and so intense!.
I ended up going sober because we were in the front row and people I didn't knew joined us so I wasn't comfortable with dosing.
the sad part is this was my first play ever and it feel like I just watched the ultimate one....

Nice! Where did you catch it?
There's still tons of great shows. Sweeny Todd is a great live show. I'd like to see Oz and The Book of Mormon, too.

the guy who joined us suggested Moliere's Bourgeois Gentleman that's gonna play next year but I don't think he's aware of the dancing and singing, wich is enough for me to pass

Lion King was a great adaptation of Hamlet, too.
Seeing Shakespeare in the round is on my bucket list.
During grad school there was an adaptation of The Tempest going around.
It was the tits (literally) and I got to interview the star performer for one of CT's biggest newspapers.
She was hot as shit and talented to boot; I wonder if she's in film now.
