http://www.innovation-america.org/mri-airport

could this process be used to view into a human body without the person knowing it was happening?

when i got my brain scanned i was injected into a massively thick metal tube and that BOOM BOOM, id probably notice a sound like this walking through a security checkpoint. however, this article describes a less intense magnetic field. im not brushed up on new surveillance technology and have never taken a class in physics, can anyone help me out?

just curious, any help is appreciated.

The chamber on that thing is likely really small, so you couldn't accidentally walk through it or even fit through it intentionally.  And it's extremely low res (it only has to identify whether an entire volume of liquid is of a threat substance, not the detailed shape of the volume) and slow.
