We went hiking again deep in the mountains of northern NM.. Elevation was approximately 11k feet with mixed aspen/spruce/fir trees. It's been raining like crazy up here, and every time we go hiking, we find new mushrooms that I haven't encountered before!
I found some beautiful Boletes growing under the trees. One bundle was under mixed trees, and another was growing under what I think I remember as a fir tree.
Upon inspection, we noticed no bruising, or any unique smells..
Am I correct by thinking these are Boletus Edulis, or is there not enough info???
