I have 3 Rusticas and 1 khat Im worried about my oldest Rustica its starting to yellow
And my Khat has not grown much since i got it.

The one on the right Is like mutated haha

You can see the yellowing of the leaves
On another note i Have a few cacti and i know your supposed to water from beneath to encourage the roots.
I am sprouting a few varieties and im filling the white cups with water and submerging the bottom inch of the pot and i have the tops plastic wrapped. Does this look like it will work?

Hmm... my rusticas have more pointed tips... I haven't had a single problem with rustica. They are the hardiest plants i have ever grown. Don't worry about rustica, it will keep to itself just fine. I actually picked all the leaves off of all my outside rusticas and didn't water them for 2 weeks, and they regrew leaves and survived through the drought.

Your plants are all fine, and Khat is just a slow grower in general, when it's at a young age.You should repot the Rustica, and give them some fertilizer, they like a lot of it,and that could be why they are yellowing.I've also found them one of the easiest plants to grow.

Yelow is usually a good indicator of low levels of nitrogen.

Picture number three looks like a classic case of nitrogen deficiency. As the plant keeps trying to grow the nitrogen is literally pulled from older leaves and put into the new growth.
Now if everything was super dark green and there was yellowing of the growth tips and possibly the edges of the leaves are getting crispy you are pushing the opposite end of the same spectrum.
Looks like it is about time to feed. Feed it minimally and see if you notice the colors darkening and the rate of growth increasing.
The "mutation" looks like some kind of PH issue possibly, really kind of a crap shoot to diagnose
and to be thorough the top plant... I dunno my first guess looking at that butter tub, and the media color, and having no preconception of you and your gardening practice i am going to have to go with too much water too frequently.

I know when sun-curing tobacco it turns yellow. Is this from lack of nitrogen? Because simple curing in a dark place it turns brown.

You have to think that the green chemical in plants is actually the one responsible for 'harvesting' sunlight.
I cannot say for sure but with the observation that plant cells don't really die as soon as you pick something, sun bleaching, and not being able to produce more chlorophyll (nitrogen obviously being necessary to the process its made of carbon hydrogen oxygen nitrogen and mg which i can't remember if it is manganese or magnesium tho probably the later) it would stand to reason that sun cured tobacco should have a lighter color. I mean it wouldn't be a 'lack' as much as it used up all of its available water and nitrogen.
Water stress can also lead to yellowing.
I feel like my explanation is kind of convoluted, stoned.
