you can continue to bury your spent cakes in the same spot... you can dig a hole and put them in, put a little verm over the top and a light layer of soil. animals will go for it and dig it up... maybe being in the city won't be so bad with that issue. depending on where you are, sometimes fall and spring is a good time.

just keep adding old cakes and substrates to the same area... water them whenever you can... they will most likely fruit one day if you keep adding to them and watering them

not sure if you HAVE to use verm... but with verm works. i bet that animal had a hell of a night....

If you can, next time go to the local hardware/garden store and buy a bag of composted cow manure and mix your old sub with it. Dig a wide shallow hole and put mix in, cover with light layer of straw or something similar and water it. If you live in a hot humid area in the summer, you'll see some surprises pop up a day or so after a good rain! :smile:
