Yeah, but I'm strange in all kind of ways so it's just another brick in the wall.
Had a chat with a friend of mine not long ago who were interested in getting a cactus or two of his own. Think I might give him one next time he's in town to get him hooked.

If you think friends are bad, wait until your (extended) family starts to talk about it. 
My niece knows exactly how many cacti I have because she counts them--I gave up trying long ago--and my cactus hobby is what she introduces me to her friends with.

What number of cacti do you have? 
Personally I'm thinking about either cutting down and just keeping a couple of each species or go totally bananas and get like tripple digits.

Im the only 21 year old I know who grows plants of any sort. I get all sorts of funny looks when I tell people my age I grow plants especially cactus.
Its beginning to rub off on a couple of mates but Im still a bit of a freak show round here lol

My friends think I'm very strange generally because I'm interested in all mushrooms, plants and nature, and not cars, football and women. Cacti don't make much of a difference, to most people cacti are nice because they are those green things in your room you don't have to water or take care of (). Btw, I only have like a couple dozen adult cacti, but am well into triple digits if counting seedlings.

I should have clarified that was without communally potted seedlings. I'm definitely already in the four digit range if you count those.

The trick is to be so strange in other ways that owning 147 cacti seems almost normal 
Lots of people think I'm strange but my cacti are lower on their list.

Yeah, they also clearly aren't interested in growing them, but will listen because they are interested in consuming them.
