Yea for real. Actually wearing casual clothing makes women more attractive to me sometimes because they are more approachable. A woman's face is her face, thats all guys need most of the time.
As far as this guy it sounds like you yourself have no idea what you want. You talk about deep romance and platonic friendship alternatively for this entire thread. Even if the guy weren't shy he wouldn't be getting the right signals if you aren't giving them. You just sound intense in general, kinda scary really

I guess I have those contradictory hopes just because I guess I would have enjoyed his company either way. Honestly, I just wanted a nice guy friend who actually enjoyed my company and conversation rather than just desiring sex.
As for being intense and scary lol, I have since moved on since sometimes people just need their own time, whether that be a month or forever. I'm just appreciative I had one day to spend with a nice boy like that, walking around in the park etc. Sometimes nice experiences are fleeting, and sometimes they recur. Nothing lasts but nothing is lost
