So I was thinking about DMT before I went to bed last night.
Many Users of DMT have related experiences.
Lets start by assuming these 2 points:
1.)DMT is a drug that takes your consciousness somewhere else.
2.)When you die copious amounts of DMT are released.
IMPORTANT:None of the above is backed by Scientific fact, it really hasn't been found out yet.
But if you believe that 1 & 2 are fact, please ponder the below questions.
So my question is: When you die, where does your consciousness go?
Does it stay in your body, are your just a human being hallucinating?
Is it flung across the universe? Does this mean a possible afterlife?

I'm really not leaning on this issue any certain way, just sparked a little bit of curiosity in my mind last night.

DMT is not released in large amounts when you die. That is a myth. There is also no evidence suggesting it makes your consciousness go somewhere else. Consciousness is a property of an active brain, and when you die, your consciousness ceases to exist.

Any sources that confirms its a myth?
Many people report seeing similar things on DMT.
Outer Space seems to be where your consciousness goes.

They are right. You can speculate all you want but nothing suggests either of the claims. Sometimes we must realize that what we want to be true is not what is actually true. If you can gather any evidence for either of your claims then we can discuss this further.

Oh shit, if you meant this question I didn't see it.
This question really makes me think.
The music is still on the CD. The CD still holds the information, but no longer has the ability to play it.
If the brain dies, the information is still in your brain. But the brain, no longer living, doesn't have the ability to do anything with it. All your memory enzymes just sit in a lifeless skull.
But if, let me add another if for you,IF DMT is released upon death, and in a large quantity. Could a human mind achieve a loss of time and forever be lost in its own working? Until the enzymes and matter eventually breakdown and decompose.
