This site has some issues, as we all know, but I've just found out a new issue.
If ratings aren't bad enough, people judge you on your post count. Why is this a problem? Get this:
Since I've been a member since '06 and don't have 30,000 posts, people assume I am a puppet. What kind of lameness is that? 
Sorry guys, I'm not a puppet, I just used to be a lurker. The mods and admins can check my IP all day, I'm just Debutemachine...

Why would people assume that you're a puppet. 2000 posts is a contribution and you may not browse daily or feel the need to have your say everywhere.

what i think is the most twisted about the shroomery is the way the ignore works.
if i ignore someone, they shouldnt even be able to see or be allowed to post in my threads
not the other way around. its ass backwards

I don't think I've ever been accused of being a puppet, but I think it's sort of stupid when people rail against using the ignore feature. If someone constantly clutters the forum with stupid and trollish posts, ignoring them has an identical effect to the mods banning them, but you can do it whenever you want. Ignoring someone because you lost an argument to them is pretty lame IMO but I'm not going to rail against someone because I think they've done that. Same thing with opting out of ratings, if you want to use that feature then it makes no difference to me really.

OnlineNWlight to answer your question, I thought it was interesting too. Usually it just get's really really cold so I'm inside more, I live in VA so you can imagine the winter time.
But I also used to be a lot more social. Now that I'm older things have changed, and I just feel like chatting here.
Thanks for your reply psi, damn man did you really register in 99? Yea, I noticed that all I used the ratings feature was for bad ratings, because that's what people did to me, so I just opted out. You probably aren't accused of being a puppet because your registration date....
