Lawn mushrooms in mid Missouri.
    #16618957 - 07/30/12 08:49 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

These were located in a lawn in the middle of Missouri. They were found in early July. It has been 100 degrees every day for a while. This lawn is watered heavily every morning. I picked these around 1pm so most were dry but a few were hiding under tall grass and were still fresh. They are pretty small but they pop up all over a very large lawn every morning. The spore print is black.

Taken in the field.

Average daily yield for past several days.(Ignore the white ones in the upper corner they are different)

A single mushroom.

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.
