Cool find!

Interesting!  I thought the O.P. was describing a mushroom eaten by bugs.

Grova, the small red spot is a red insect that eats mushrooms around here. Termitomyces is indeed an interesting group. Fungal gardens cultivated by termites...fascinating. Are all termitomyces edible?

Nice find Sparkle! I don't believe there are any poisonous Termitomyces species but I'm not very familiar with that genus. Maybe ToxicMan might know.

Termitomyces albuminosa, this species in Phillipines is not white on the pileus but slightly oker brownish, Its to big for eurhizus who is mostly darker to the greyish side

This a pict of eurhizus

That's the one. Yup, it's delicious. I cloned it and what do I do now? Do I put a hole in every mound I see and pour grain spawn into it?

lol no sparkle, let it go on agar needs about 3 weeks(at my experience), next on grain (dont grow well on wheat and other kind, only sorghum do well withsome lime and darak), when the mycelium start to clump its ready,
1) You can make holes in mounts and put near the termite nest combs but that will take long and its very erratic.

2) You dig out some termite nest combs , dry them and crumble them, spread the mycelium on the combs and cover with soil from the termite mount and wait, the trick is the right heat(approximatively 30 Celsius and moisture, its very tricky i get approximatively 30 pct succes only, i just do it for my own consumption as i consider it not reliable enough for commercial use

Did not have agar at that time so I cloned it straight to sorghum (which I grew) then transferred it to more sorghum flasks and today...
