Some new additions to the dry box, 3 computer fans. Put the lid on, and in the morning they're done!

I've had a google search on the name Mycenae Amicta. Looks very similar, but the bluing on the bottom half of the stem is what intrigue me. Anyway thanks!

lord of the gnomes, your finds always looks so gummy/waxy compared to mine and others. Do you think this is a result of the eucalyptus? Your photos always seem to have eucalyptus about the place.
I've primarily found stuff around pine. Which have you found to be more successful?

well these particular finds are actually found under a pine tree but i generally hunt in bush land with plenty of eucalyptus trees and wood chipped garden beds but i find good amounts of subs in all different substrate

Sweet as haul guys Welcome to SA olive I think your Laccaria shots are L. fraterna, I'm never sure whether that earthstar is Geastrum triplex though :/
Many of my active sites seem to be drying up atm, I gotta check my best spot when I get the chance. Currently surveying a site that's regenerating from fire for a research project, think my chances of finding actives there are slim but you never know!
I hope everyone is well :)

Me and my mate went up into the adelaide hills around ***** but we've noticed that the ferns aren't fully grown yet. This was just 3 days ago. Plus we also noticed that nearly all the pine trees that were around gorge road there only a few years ago have all disappeared....killed off by the authories maybe? Anyway we are going to ***** this week in the hope of findind some psilocybins..... *fingers crossed*

Fuzzyferret, don't mention locations. But the place you've suggested has been pillaged many times over. You're better off looking in places you've not overheard because chances are that the ones you hear about consistently have seen the most people hunting through them.
Olive you've moved?! Nice hunt there with LOTG
Hoping there's still a few out there when i find a break from my boring lectures to go and have a look around.
Good vibes

I Haven't had much free time but I managed to get back to my favorite spot last weekend. I found a scattering of fresh subs, some in my old patch, and an awesome new patch with hefty sized subs. They were getting a bit old unfortunately but I still took about 30 keepers. Also checked another small patch that had a few kicking around but I think someone beat me to it! No new locations for me with decent patches, but I did find a single sub in a new location and seen a couple of other promising spots too. I haven't had the time to suss out the areas though.
My good luck omen #1
Every time I see a decent skull I get a decent find.
 Pale Sub
The first really "orange" sub I've seen at this location. Such a variety in colour in a single location.

Found 20-30 subs at my old patch and decided to explore further. Came across this and got excited! Then went on to find the aforementioned "big sub" patch.

A productive day indeed, can't find the pic I took of the haul but doesn't matter really, I think we've seen plenty of more awesome haul pics recently .
Here's some pretty inactives instead:
Mouldy Bolete

 Ramaria

Also found a big bag of leaf courtesy of some local grower, I don't smoke anymore but found no reason not to make some herb butter, and do some baking It was awesome, but I almost regretted still being wasted next day for work, went anyway like the trooper I am . (My job is not one made more enjoyable by weed, also it was more karma than anything else, but that's another tale ). It's not going to impress anyone here but I'm not a stoner so it was something different for me .
Fuzzyferret, "killed off by the authorities" is the creepiest way to say they've logged that area! That's what the pines were planted there for in the first place. I'm sure there's some around but I haven't seen any there personally yet in the small amount of time I've been out that way. Like weep said, it's the places less well known and less travelled that you are more likely to be the first one there for the patches. This can even be the less obvious parts of well known areas, my lucky spot is probably about 1 km away from a place where I see a fair few people who I suspect are hunting (and I have found some subs there too, but fewer, and in places less easy to spot/access).
Anyway I think the 2012 season isn't over yet, I haven't seen any pins lately but I haven't had much of a chance to look. Happy hunting people!
