 Does Etizolam work as a benzo to bring down trips?

I can't easily get a hold of normal benzos, but I understand Etizolam (an rc) is closely related to them, and it's legal in my country.
Just wondering if anyone has experience with it or other similar rcs while tripping?
I understand that benzos can calm anxiety and bring an end to trips. I'm sure I'll catch hell from a minority here, but I'm looking for something that I can have around as a safety net JUST IN CASE I ever need it.

ive been wondering this latly as im in the same position as you...but i think they would work i dont see any reason why not

Hey there. I'm not a million miles away from Bolton myself 
The only reason I'm not betting on it is that AFAIK they aren't a true benzo although they're closely related. Hopefully someone with experience drops in!

fair enough where abouts you from? ... and yeah i no what you mean about it not being a ''true'' benzo, but i think its the effects of the benzo's that help with the bad trip scenario, and etizolam is very similar to diazepam ive tried both and they where strikingly similar so im guessing in that respect it would work...they both calm you down and make you more relaxed.

Yes they definitely do. Sorry I didn't chime in earlier I kept meaning to poke my head in here. I've researched it on tail ends of 2c-i, 25i-nbome, DOI, DOC, and LSD. It works in the same ways a benzodiazepines would. It acts as a hypnotic and sedative and has anti-anxiety properties even though its a thienodiazepine.

Etiz will mellow out a trip, but what you REALLY need to get your hands on are 30mg Mirtazapine tablets. Trip stone dead in 45 minutes.

I always keep a 2mg alprazolam (xanax) tablet handy during my trips. So in my opinion find a true benzo if you can.
I've never had to use it because of a bad trip, but the last couple times I did 7 gram trips I took .5mg on my come down so I could go to sleep, and it took my visual and auditory distortions down by 90 percent within 15 minutes.
So yea, if you take a benzo and are having a bad trip it will be a "safety net" where you'll snap out if your trip very quickly.

0.5mg xanax! You lucky git! keep it that way. I abused benzos and I've taken a 10mg vally, 5 xanax, 8 pints of beer and a bag of ganja. All becaues of Yohimbe. I underestimated that shite!

I haven't abused benzos in almost 10 years I think. I remember taking 6-8mg with more than few drinks, and smoking a lot of bud almost every weekend. Led to too many nights I don't remember, that led to way too many stupid decisions.
This conversation belongs in OTD anyways, my conclusion is Benzos are bad

OP, its definitely helps to bring down some anxiety if thats happening during a trip and to get to sleep afterwards. And for the cost vs street cost of other benzos, its unbeatable.

All OP would need is 1 tablet of alprazolam and/or valium or klonopin, etc..if he can easily get a hold of one of those it would be the same price if not cheaper as a box of OTC medicine.
Just my opinion.

kroniko - thanks for the good vibes if i could get xanax/valium i most definitely would since they have more of a proven track record, but i would have no idea where to easily get them in the uk.
i tripped many times years ago (mostly acid, some mushrooms) but it ended up with an overly intense trip that i was not properly mentally prepared for. not so much a bad trip as a difficult one, but it scared me off psychs for a while.
i've had a couple of mild truffle trips in the last 6 months, and although they were great i was verrrry anxious on the comeup. before the difficult trip the comeup was more electric and exciting for me. i don't know if i'll ever even use etizolam, but since i can get a hold of them it'll be nice to have them as a mental safety net - even if i don't take them i'll know i have them "just in case" in order to help ease my mindset on the comeup.
