It's been about two weeks so far and i still have a loud ringing noise on my right ear. i think it gets worse everyday. I feel like i've already lost 50% of my hearing from my right ear. I'm just concerned whether this is permanent or not. Has anyone here ever had this before?, if so, how did you handle it?, did it go away?

I've got it all the time due to blasting my ears with very loud music. But you may have something temporary. You should see an ear specialist if you're concerned. As for me, well I've gotten used to it over the years and hardly notice it anymore.

I have it. Used to be super loud in one ear but then I cut my salt intake and its a lot softer now. Sometimes when I'm sitting here the ringing will all of a sudden get super loud for a few seconds.
I told my doctor I felt like I was picking up airplane and UFO signals lol

to both posters above, did you ever notice any hearing loss? I think i've always had a mild ringing in my right ear but now i can't hear very well from the same ear. it's like i have a plug in that ear. perhaps i should find an ear specialist. what!? did you say something?

A bit. Nothing serious though.

This has happened to me before. Earwax would build up in my ear and cause hearing loss.
I flush my ear out with a rubber bulb syringe and warm water...once the chunks of earwax are out my hearing is back to normal

I suggest you go to a doctor and get them to check your ears for wax build up before going to an audioligist. Could be as simple as that.

Yep. Tinnitus and hyperacoustic, its a bitch.
Mine will be life long, after awhile you kind of not notice it as much.. but its always there. Anti depressants and 13 years of ear infections will do that to do.. along with hearing lost.
If you are having trouble sleeping at night, run a fan at night. It will drown out the tinnitus
it may go away, but it likely wont. Go see a Otolaryngologists when you can.

I have really severe earwax blockage problems due to curved and ultra narrow ear canals and never get ringing. I've also been to tons of concerts and blast music in my headphones with no noticeable hearing loss. I am clearly a robot from the future.
