Does anyone knond if BPA in bags can be leached into mushrooms? I am under the impression that if Oysters can be used for petrochemical remediation then, possibly they do not absorb any? Is there any research?

Wow- that is a great question. We occasionally use mycobags to supplement our grows when we are short on time or space. I'll be following this thread ...

A lot of commercially produced plastic items contain BPA. From my observation, the items that are "BPA-free" are labelled as such because they are not the norm ...

Aren't spawn bags made from polyethylene?
Things are labeled BPA Free to get you to buy them. Not many plastic items really were ever made from BPA. Some, sure. But mostly it was polypropylene, polycarbonate, and polyethylene, just like it is today in the "post BPA world".

I looked at unicorn bags website their bags are made of polypropylene, which does not contain BPA. So that is good since they are the ones going in the autoclave. But other containers and bags, that are used in production might have BPA. I just wonder scientifically how they respond to the chemical?
