It's just as likely as any other fruit to drop spores. So the answer is probably, but not always.

in this case it was from eq strain. and it dropped spores.a little curious about senescence mycelium fruits. obviously cloning is out the window so i wondered about the spores.

:whathesaid:
Spores mate. It's a sexual process, no different in principle than what us animals do. If old Grandpa can still make it, he can have brand new baby!

A senescent culture has damaged genetics.
The spores represent the genetic profile of the parent organism.
Spores from a senescent culture will have a higher incidence of mutations and overall will have lower viability.

Just like Grandpa^^^. Older men, and especially older women, give birth to defective babies at a higher rate.

so I made a spore syringe from the fruit, put them into berries then transferred into these 7 jars. next we'll see what fruits come.

I recently had to do the same thing you did and had excellent results although the fruits I got from the senescence laden sub were not so good after the first flush and still not the best first flush.  Good luck and can't wait to hear if you get good results as well!

eq seems to be a world class strain. i did gTg transfers for a whole year and fruits were less plentiful, but kept on coming flush after flush. truly an amazing strain.try gTg transfers with PE for a year and see what happens lol.
