I'm going to give a Fantasy pitching tutorial by example, even though I shouldn't. This league has the 5 standard categories but the positions and max innings (1400) are different. Also tight are the DL spots (only 1) and bench (only 5)
My pitcher draft
92 Ian Kennedy.....................dumped with damage
101 Matt Garza.....................dumped
125 Hanrahan.......................traded for Lance Lynn (the only trade in the league)
140 Brandon Morrow.................DL worth waiting for
197 Fister.........................Dumped when he got hurt without getting a stat
212 Bucholz........................Dumped without getting a stat
221 Matt Capps.....................Currently on DL but effective and holding a spot for him
236 Matt Thornton..................Dumped. Useful but not a closer
245 David Robertson................Dumped. Became closer got hurt lost closer. Too bad.
260 Aroldis Chapman................Gold
My pitching is currently scoring 46 out of a possible 60 points after this hideous draft. I'm not going to tell you how I did it but I'm going to tell you that drafting Ps early (see Lincecum) is insane.

I finally got someone to pass me up on Saves as I look to start watching my IP more closely and playing matchups.
I am going to need my bats to come alive here in this 2nd half for me to have a chance

Finally got a good day out of my bats
11 R's, 6 HR's, and 23 RBI's.. Yes 23. Team batted .400 on the day out of 55 AB's.
Pitching got lit up a little bit though

working the waivers is the key to fantasy baseball. acquire the players who are heating up and cut the guys on your team who are sucking ass (even if they're big name players sometimes).
i've cut dudes who were 100% owned in leagues simply because i KNEW they were done. i dropped michael young (100% owned) a few months ago for ben revere (6% owned at the time). young has continued to suck and revere has been a beast.
those are the kinda moves that win fantasy leagues...you gotta gamble a little.

I had a pretty good year for fantasy baseball. Shroomery team is my worst and I will finish in the top 5 for sure, probably 3rd/4th. My other 3 leagues, all 3 have first round playoff byes. 2 of them are #1 teams and the other is a #2

Another season in the books. Congratulations robby. All things considered I'm fairly pleased with placing fourth... We had a record amount of flakes this year (zig excluded from the list). An issue that must be addressed before the beginning of next season. Thank you to the three people other than myself who remained active throughout. Until next year fellas.

This league was terrible. Out of all the fantasy sports I have played this was the worst.
The point setup is stupid and shit is no fun when you have quitters like zappa right off the bat
because he just couldnt handle an auto picked team. Im not talking shit on anyone here so let
that be known except for zappa I just did not like the setup.
I think next year things should be revised to at least a head to head point league but thats
just my opinion.
Anyways go Tigers and Congrats to Mr triple Crown 2012!

I will never accede to head to head for baseball. It is moronic. The points and categories are the default points and categories so your bullshit about them is idiotic.
I explained why I did what I did. Yahoo did not allow me to draft so I didn't feel it was my team. I didn't even set autodraft picks. You win on drafting and continued management. Taking that into account I though the fairest thing to do, for everybody, was to remain inactive. It is become clear that there is at least one and probably more who are in this league for the sole purpose of competing against me. I'm flattered by the respect (actually I'm not. To those of you whom this may apply I suggest you get a life). robbyberto is also an excellent player. There are some other guys who seem to have suitable acumen and then there are the expected number of dabblers. One of whom, I might point out, actually won one year.
