1992 team would kill the 2012 team
You have to look no further than the Centers.
A Davis is hurt and not playing. So the only real center is Tyson Chandler.
That doesnt compare to Patrick Ewing and David Robinson. Then at PF you have Barkley and Malone.
That's a roster where 10 of the 12 players are Hall of Famers
Best team every assembled.
Now if the 2012 team had Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, Andrew Bynum, then it might be a different story, but 1992 was too big of a team.

I suspect this team will eventually have a similar number of Hall of Famers from it but you are right that they are a bit light in the post. Neither Bird nor Laetner were worth a shit in 1992 and I've always thought the fat fuck spitter was vastly over-rated.

I don't think LeBron or Kobe even compare to Jordan. I actually enjoyed watching basketball back in those days, can't really say the same now.

Oh yeah, how could I forget Isiah Thomas.. How about Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, and Reggie Miller.. 3 more studs who couldnt make Dream Team who easily would be on 2012 squad
I love when people who are new to the sport say stuff like "the guys today are just much more athletic," if you really think that, go back and watch some bulls from 1992, some knicks, some pacers. Those Guards were playing in an NBA where hard fouls were common and you didnt get up and cry afterwards. Watch Tim Hardaway, Magic, Jordan, Reggie Miller and tell me those guys wouldnt dominate today.
With the exception of LeBron, Kobe, and Durant this years team is just average really. I could throw Paul in there but he hasnt won anything yet
