I ate moldy/contam mushies. Please help!

So lets just say a few years back I ate some contaminated mushrooms, if I'm not mistaken they were EQs and about 1.5 dry grew. Well, the story is I had spent about 250 dollars on this specific grow planning on doing a mono tub.. needless to say it all failed! My mind state at the time was foolish and I ate them. I couldn't stand the thought of all my money gone to waste. I was told that it was penicillin mold? And to my knowledge I'm not allergic to penicillin. But, what I'm getting at is when I ate them the trip was horrible.. absolutely horrible. I was itchy, muscle spasms, body ache, had a sort of body load to where my body felt like I just had an "Adrenaline dump" nothing about that trip was pleasant.. And ever since then I experience a grueling itch, mostly in my face, chest, and back.. similar to a pain killer itch. But, it has gotten so bad to where I scratched the inside of my nose so much it started to bleed and left a pretty deep wound. I'm looking for answers to what exactly is going on.. if there's a way to get over this or possibly ease it up some. I've been trying to research on short term or long term poisoning but I can find nothing at all. If anyone could give me some insight on this specific subject it would be much appreciated!

I doubt the mold was related to the trip or the illness. I also doubt that you ate mold in the first place. The substrate may have been moldy but that doesn't mean the mushrooms are contaminated. Mushroom tissue is very resistant to molds. There is generally not enough time in the short lifespan of a mushroom for mold to spread to them.

I personally doubt mold was the cause of your condition.
To you knowledge, do you have a compromised immune system?

Well, I had quite extensive experience before hand. All the trips before that one were great. But, ever since that one I've had this terrible itch.. it drives me away from shrooms and I don't want to give up on them. To answer your question, not to my knowledge.

Oh, my bad I overlooked that question. No, I haven't.. I don't really know how to go about asking a doctor a question that involved psychedelics.

Well doctors can't write you a ticket for taking mushrooms. Haha. There's such a thing as patient-doctor confidentiality. But it definitely seems like you should get a physical asap.

Sounds like a good idea. And what's weird about the itch is if I focus hard enough on not itching it seems to turn into involuntary facial muscle movements of some sort.

Sounds like a pretty typical cubensis trip to me. This is the reason most growers move on to other species once they learn the ropes with cubes, which are extremely easy to grow but rarely pleasant. RR

I agree that it sounds like an allergic reaction, but why would he continue to itch so long after taking the mushrooms? This could have totally been a case on House or something.

Do you find other species more pleasant? Which?

I would also say this was an allergic reaction, but it's strange that you are still experiencing the 'itch'. I would defiantly suggest seeking medical advise, as they can carry out blood tests to see if there is anything strange in your system. Be honest with your doctor, they can't arrest you!

You wouldn't be the first person to get itchy while tripping. If you scratched to the point of bleeding I could see that continuing to itch as it scabbed over and healed. Couldn't explain though why anything else would continue to itch long after it's all out of your system.
