Yeah, Paul Hardcastle is narrow within himself:
Those who not heard enough of PH, he is without a doubt the most intelligent musician there is.
Let me guess what you come up with, hm wild guess, relatively mainsstream that "tries" do not go as mainstream however, cash is king.

It's so interesting to me that music can evoke such powerful emotional states. It almost seems like we have buried so much under some kind of mental armoring that we don't often know how we are actually feeling. Then bam! some piece of music stirs the pot and we find out it's been boiling for a long time.
I freed up a chunk of cash to rebuild and extend a music library I let go of many years ago. The walk down memory lane has been nothing but a powerful emotional purge. And the "fun" part is I've discovered a lot of music I missed so it's like going back and reliving, emotionally, a part of my past which now I see is actually my present. Just buried. It informs what I am now.

That's sounds like a great journey. Thom Yorke says a similar thing about music and memories, don't know if you ever got into radiohead?
This one is a real death anxiety stirrer for me;
I can't listen to so much music though. I like to listen maybe once a week for a session but otherwise it loses it's effect. I know what you mean though, same with books, a good book comes along at the right time and it can really stir things up for awhile. It's funny how psychological destiny plays out while so little else really seems to be happening, perhaps the most bizzare thing in life is just to watch it.

Those days aside the hilltop where the sunlight sky and meadows below spoke promises of eternal future
And I remember the day the world turned on me, how frightened I was and the idiotic surprise I was met with

Love King Crimson. Probably the best of the psychedelic bands IMO.

Intense song. I can't listen to much music at a stretch either. Usually I sit and listen to one whole cd as a meditation once a day.

Neither, that's Paul Hardcastle's asshole you smell, man. Because you're pretty far up there.
I can't say that he's a bad musician, there's some obvious talent there. But I can say that he's certainly not the best, or most intelligent musician. That's not even a topic for debate.
I'm not going to post 5 albums worth of songs on here to prove a point though.
Paul's music is good technically, but it's not very original, and nothing I haven't heard the likes of before (I apologize in advance for making you cry, you just need to do some exploring into the vast sea of music there is). Don't take it to heart.

I'd say ignorance.
Find similar tracks to these please,
Try to find a part in a song thats more advanced than 0:12 (also, something you wouldnt notice if i didnt tell you, listen to the click @ 0:15 in the end of the vibe which makes that vibe perhaps the most intelligent vibe ever made:
Good luck!
What you dont seem to understand is PH's way to advance the good old music (i have a feeling this is the first time you heard him, maybe the original 19, you dont seem to get the brilliance and KEY that makes a track intelligent). He is the most modern intelligent musician, Pat Metheny close #2. Lets face it, 99% of modern music is crap, 50 years ago 50% was crap, however those that advance the old ones (50%) are driving humanity forward - which is intelligence.
Most songs (besides a few of myself out of the many without) posted here have lyrics, pretty much says it all. Complete lack of criticism and abillity to figure music without some hotshot singing about how hard everything is.
Before im out of here i would like to hear similar tracks to the ones above, i would also like to hear one of the most advanced tracks you know. Also, please describe why its intelligent music. Please dont google your way to an answer.

I don't care for the dnb breakdown, but the intro is bliss.
The original is great too.

Anyone notice this?"

@liquidlounge - The song I originally posted doesn't have lyrics, Paul's not the only one to get music across without words.
Second, I feel psybient artists are some very intelligent musicians. In a sense that they give you more than a "click" at the end of a vibe.
But I feel silly talking about something as unmeasurable as intelligence. It exists in many different forms.
This is some good chill-out:
0:21 - Oh hold up... I can groove to this. 1:27 - They know what's up. 1:31 - "Orange." - An intelligent colour. 2:56 - Intelligence (the magic starts here).
I'll use your format
I really am not trying to argue, as I don't enjoy arguing. I'm trying to make you aware of other options.

Has any one seen the video of the elderly man who I believe has Alzheimer's or dimensia? He acted depressed and showed little activity, they popped in some of the tunes they bumped in his generation and bam, out of nowhere guy snaps out of it and starts doing a jig and single along. Now thats fucking magic!

This whole album takes me on a journey. It is compounded effort rising and folding into total submission -- part of my late night cycling/snow trudging sountrack.
