Is it now? Or was the teaching missed. IMO Sin is only what hides us from natural perfection. I say we are hidden only because, our perfect nature can never be permanently stained. Just as a so called "permanent" marker cannot permanently stain a white board. The bible even reflects this. In Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear" Isaiah 59:2

This is the problem with the new age religious movement. It has nothing to do with Satan, or the sheer evil of it. No......the new age movement is MUCH worse, with much more dire consequences.
Even the Taoism books ive read in the past argues that if you are going to pick a path, STICK WITH IT. Dont nit pick randomly from this faith, and that faith. The bible was not meant to be dissected with a razor. Not only is it blasphemous as fuck, but it will do you no good.
You are a sinner, plain and simple. You NEED Christ and a proper lifestyle that reflects this truth. This is what the bible teaches. To pick a passage or two that you happen to agree with is not Christianity, hell its not even spirituality. Its you trying to convince yourself of something that isnt true. And if you are trying to tell yourself false things, who knows what else you are telling yourself in your quest for inner peace.
Be careful

Cactilove said: This of course is all metaphorical and not to be taken literally... What if I told you that sin Is not what mainstream Christians usually beleive? What if I told you that we are not of original sin? According to the bible we were created in the image of god, therefor unless god is imperfect we cannot be originally damned. So what is sin? Sin is human nature. Sin is and illusionary veil that was cast up after we were "cast out" of the garden of eden. This story of Eden was the beginning of ignorance. We became ignorant of our perfect divinity, we severed our ties to the divine self. Because of this we were thrown into the fog of sin. We chose to begin to think that these behaviors were unnatural and even immoral. This is when the veil was cast, a veil cast by our own insecurities. However once this veil is recognized as what it is, merely an illusion that we are separate from the divine essence we no longer make a distinction between the holy other and ourselves. We are the holy other. When this very important secret is remembered we are once again allowed to frolic in the garden, to experience nirvana. We finally realize we were never cast from the garden, no, we have always lived in the garden, we have alway been in nirvana, we are the divine essence. It is only our illusion of unnecessary guilt that separates us from the divine. That is all, that we are all. Amen;) - DAS
Oh.
Yeah.
I don't believe in God or sin or any of that really. I'll just step out now, have fun guys.

"It is simple in order to get someone to realize that god exists, you only must change the definition of god." - DAS Ya I'm going to step out now too, I feel the pressure of meme coming on. Don't approve of the whole you need to stick to one religion thing, ya in fact I view it as spritually unhealthy. Don't get stuck in that retarted game....

All that motive is to keep someone under the control of that religion. It's a mind game, sorry. Oh and I am sure that Jesus is appalled at what some of the churches are trying to swing today.

I accept Christ as my lord and savior as well so don't worry about that, christ made sure "himself" that I got that lesson with the ferocity of crucifixion but, eclecticism is good, choose what works for you. That is the way. Just remember when you simplify it to the core, its all the same. I'm not new age I'm old age.

I never said anything about repression or denying the metaphysical aspect of reality. What I am against is using your own brain while In A good mood to convince yourself of shit that simply isn't true. How on earth can you think you are a god is beyond me. Stick around this place for a while, and you will be lucky if you even believe in A god after life actually throws you some turmoil.

Back at ya man I will never push my beliefs on anyone, this works for me, everyone has to find their own path spiritual or not. You can't go on the same trip.
