 How do you feel about drug's in band names?

Do you dig?
There's a band me and someone are working on that has some drug stuff in the name and it sounds cool too, but I was thinking if it will pay off in the end, at least it is an f u to the man maybe. Don't want to post the name is though so it doesn't get copied.

Seriously though, drug-influenced band names can be cool, if it's not like "Purple Kush Bong Ripz" or something (© on that btw...)
Bands like 1200 Micrograms, Entheogenic, or Psilocybian have a nice sound to them. As long as it's not too bland.

I don't care as long as it isn't referencing stuff that is barely legal as it is
I saw one the other day called "Liquid Kactus"... which is fine I guess until it becomes popular with the wrong crowd and it becomes the next big thing that the law feels the need to put a stop to. I'm not a paranoid person but this is one subject I have strong feelings about, because I've been seeing shit get banned left and right for the last several years, which generally happens when something becomes a fad. You think the DEA was looking out for DMT labs before it was so popular on the street and internet? The future of certain plants remaining legal is definitely in question, and a little discretion wouldn't hurt
so IMO, if you're gonna use drug names in your band name, stick with something illegal. Sometimes it's just better safe than sorry, and there are other ways for your band name to be cool, and better ways to spread awareness

Yeah. A) The drugs were referencing are defenetially illegal and one of the drugs actually my drum friend stopped using but it still references has past use with the drug I guess another drug in there which refernces mary jane, it isn't really about awareness as the name actually sounds good I think. The point that it's drugs isn't really as relevant as how the name sounds.
Also it's nothing like 'Purple Kush Bong Ripz' or whatever.
