And the one compared is based off of statistics not experience...if we put 100 of each drug user together and had them tag a regular dose of each drug for a year straight...who would be worst off?

That wikipedia table is extremely misleading. The reason why alcohol and weed are so high up on the list is because they have by far the most widespread use. The results should be normalized with respect to the amount of people who do it. If it were I think you would see both of those substances very low on the list. Alcohol would probably be last.

Also the majority of marijuana users in the world combust the product and inhale the smoke as the main route of administration. Smoke produces carcinogens and the plant mattar also has a decent amount of tar in it. The psychoactive chemicals in marijuana are relatively harmless but the smoke itself is not.

Voted alcohol and tobacco. Alcohol's a no-brainer, one of the ultimate "cheap" highs imo('still enjoy it though, lol), and tobacco, more specifically the big name corporate cigarettes, usually have various nasty cancerous chemicals in them, which I'm supposing is to make them more addictive and make you buy more, our society is the evidence. Doesn't our country have one of the highest rates of cancer? I'm willing to bet that has a lot do w/ cigs....and of course, heavily-processed foods.

The chemicals in big tobacco are actually to make the draw smoother. That's why american spirit is harsh, because it's all natural, no additives. The fertilizer used in most big tobacco corps contain polonium, which is 9x more carcinogenic then tobacco itself.

I just wanted to say that i voted for methadone. I wish i didn't. I know almost nothing about it and it was a uneducated vote. If i could, i'd change it to Methamphetamines.

I voted for alcohol and meth. I drink alcohol but still think it's harmful. Biggest reason? I've seen lots of people who have quit doing drugs and are doing good but get drunk one night and the next thing you know they are using again.
I don't do meth. I've seen it ruin alot of friends. Physically, spiritually, their families.
There were a few things listed I didn't even know what they were.

Lol one person voted mushrooms as the most dangerous drug, must have had some really bad trips. I would agree in some cases, mushrooms can be very dangerous.

I totally agree with Mushr. That graph is not very accurate. I mean for example: I smoke cigarettes everyday and although nicotine is very harmful, it wont kill me anytime soon. On the other hand, if I were to eat shrooms(one of the least harmful according to this graph) every single day, Im not sure how well I would be. Obviously these are two completely different drugs. One has a high dependency and the other doesn't. But the whole point is to rate these different drugs according to the frequency of use as well as dosage.

The graph appears to measure unintentional bodily harm and not deliberate acts of violence. So yea it is not very accurate depending on how you interpret it, for instance I know mushrooms can be very dangerous and not so much indirectly but given to the wrong person the potential for physical violence and self harm is quite high.
