Shroomery Cops

SO, this is my theory: A person who has been a long-standing member of Shroomery is more likely to be a Narcotics Officer than a new user, who discusses things that might point them out to be a cop.
The logic behind this is that... users who have been here for awhile are more trusted, and more likely to actually make connections and meet other high-profile people on shroomery, while attracting zero attention.
Whereas, a noob posting suspicious questions and such is more likely to be underage/retarded and unaware of the rules. Of course, I've broken this taboo, as well as many other people when they first start out...
But, take for example someone asking a question like:
"Where can I buy salvia?" With stuff in their thread about how they want to get salvia, and a request for a vendor or place to buy it.
People might call out "Cop" because they're asking for incriminating information that could fuck over the vendor. However, my theory is that they're just dumb, and actually looking for salvia.
The REAL agents are the cool/interesting people who you meet on here and generally have tons of posts, and great personalities.
What do you think?
If I'm wrong, and you think it's usually the noob posters, tell me why you think that Enjoy the discussion.

It does make sense in a way...
How many times have people actually been set up on this site though?

We have no way of knowing, the only real way to find out would be to see a post like...
Busted: Heya guys, I'm about to get something awesome from a friend! Cop: Good luck
then maybe a post here and there, and suddenly they never log into shroomery ever ever again.
Lol.
Maybe I'm wrong, and we have some documented cases?

It's not arresting people agents are looking for, it's the big time growers. I'd assume they'd lurk around the cultivation section quite a bit.
Make nice with a dealer, learn the producer, bust.

Yeah brah cops are totally wasting years of police time to build up a reputation on an online website that shows you how to grow mushrooms.
True story.

I think you're exactly right.
There are many known and self-reported police and government informers here on this board.
Why wouldn't there be members of Law Enforcement?

That is true but im pretty sure cops have easier and more productive ways to arrest big time people then to lurk a website for god knows how long and gain "trust". It can be done much faster and easier

So, do you think there aren't cops on here? Or do you think they're more interested in small time busts?
I'd think it would be worth it to have one big account with like 30k posts just to meet people and find big time producers.
But, I said I'd stfu, so I have to.

Well, Humility, we've disagreed before... but, on this one, we're on the same page. I don't disagree with you. I just don't think Doc_T is the same kind of informant. I think he would report someone in a hospital/church dealing drugs, but not someone who is doing them at their house. Should he happen upon people doing drugs in a respectable environment, he wouldn't give a shit.

But, a trusted member of the board (god forbid a moderator,) could possibly take down a REALLY BIG supplier/producer, and Shroomery would never know. Bigger accounts are prioritized over small time users, everyone knows that.

No, I was being sarcastic. A cop isn't going to waste department time building an online reputation that will take years. Especially on a mushroom based community where people are encouraged to grow their own.
Members that are cops would most likely be new low post members who are looking to meet up with other users to hunt for mushrooms.. Or in the most obvious cases, asking for hook ups.
Honestly I think there used to be a member who was a LEO who helped users in the Security forum, unless I'm thinking of a different website. Everyone was aware of what his profession was and he actually gave wonderful advice.

Or what if they'd assume us to make the assumption you just did and, in turn, make "noob" posts in an attempt to fool us? Or what if they assumed making a post like the one you just did would turn any suspicion away from them? I think that a cop might think laying it all out in the open would cause people to let their guard down.
What if you're the cop, man?
I see ya man, I see ya.
