when i was about 18, i ate 10" of a cactus that i was damn sure was san pedro. it tasted horrible and gave me the shits; that was all it did, though. it wasn't san pedro.

I have not heard and also do not know of deadly look alikes for San Pedro. Some people buy the wrong cactus and just feel sick and then shit their brains out. That's all i know of for people mistaking other cacti for san pedro.
