Sabbath is heavy as fuck, no doubt.
You should dig the mammut though, it's pretty heavy but it's also pretty damn spacey too. Pretty sabbath influenced as well.

Yeah Vol 4 is my favorite as well.
I wish I was alive to see it. Man they were so good live. I have this one bootleg of theirs from 74 with this fucking epic track called "Guitar Solo", its just an improvised jam I haven't heard on any of their albums. So badass.

I saw that paranoid concert around oct 1970, it was the fucking shit, man they were good. especially bass and drums. Old ozzy dont fuck around with just normal musicians, everyone playing with him was just fucking outrageously good.
that album was a trippy album, but it really was one that the speed freaks embraced.
