My wife is extremely codependent, but if I was pulling in $15-20K a month, there is NOTHING she wouldn't do for me, without ever being asked.  I don't think your woman cares for you at all and I'm not trying to be insulting, I honestly feel bad for you.

Eh, sucks for you, maybe you keep attracting the same kind.
Time to change your opinion on the gals that you are attracted to me thinks.

I will say, a woman wanting to cook for her man is biological, not cultural, no matter what some pseudo-male-feminists will claim. :awesome:

I think you have that backwards, it was cultural. Cooking for the man back in the day because he would bring home the kill tired as fuck and then the lady of the house would clean and cook it.

Growing up in the early 80's my dad cooked everything, even shopped for the groceries after he worked his ass off.
Damn good food might I add. I still remember all the fresh pasta hanging everywhere to dry and the gallons of sauce slowly cooking away day. Of course I was kind of raised in the, "make it all yourself" and fuck prepared foods way of life.

Haha, getting defensive over the girl who contributes nothing and huffs nitrous when you confront her about it.

Tell her well you don't pay rent, you don't pay for food so you should at the very least be making the food.

My wife is sitting down watching television.
Me: " why do you keep watching those cooking shows, you never cook any better."
Wife: "Why do you keep watching porn?"
ME: "Get the fuck out.....Now!"

I've never been with a girl who was a better cook than I was. Eating my ex's cooking was a chore.

Women should just stay outta the kitchen. They cant cook for shit. Every restaraunt Ive ever worked in, all the best cooks were guys.

We share the cooking responsibilities, but she gets off late so i usually end up doing most of the shopping and cooking. We share the cost maybe 60/40% or probably closer to 70/30%

I am the better cook and i love to cook. Cooking for my partner is one of my main ways of showing my affection.

It does piss me off when i am cooking 4 or 5x/week and working overtime and shopping, but i've been trying to change my work life so things i take pleasure in, like cooking, are less of a chore.

My girlfriend is more creative with her cooking, and tends to gravitate towards different types of cuisine and dishes than i would make. She generally does sea food or vegetarian ... which i don't do.

In an odd way, it balances out.

I'd rather cook more anyways. That way i get to eat what i want, and i know it'll be consistently good.

Maybe you should just find yourself a woman that CAN cook.

I'm female and I believe this theory has much merit.

I had a sweetie boyfriend in late highschool/first year of college, and I loved feeding him. He liked sweets and every weekend I brought him over some treats. He would enjoy them, praise them, and it'd make my day. It wasn't about sexism or me being a servant. It was an easy and enjoyable way to express affection to a guy.

My next relationship was awful, total d-bag, and I never fed him anything once, because I had no desire to do so.

Also I agree with the viewpoint that OP's real problem has been a general mooch. It would piss me off, too, if I spent a lot of money on someone that chilled at my place and they couldn't even give a little something back, as easy as making dinner once in a while.

I just wanted to offer a contrary opinion to the widely regarded "women belong in the kitchen" sentiment.
Just tryina be funny. I dont seriously feel that way. If I met a woman who could cook better than me Id love her(given that she had a good personality, was interested and was attractive to me).

Perhaps I should join cooking groups and meet females that way.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect your girlfriend to take care of the cooking and cleaning if she's not contributing financially. I mean... what does she do all day besides sit around on her ass being a leech?? Not cool.

My boyfriend and I don't live together but whenever he's here I tend to do most of the cooking since I enjoy making him tasty meals. He always makes me bacon sammiches for breakfast, so I can't complain.

Gordon Ramsay did a show called The F Word, it was aired in the UK and the
premise of the show was quite politically incorrect by today's standards, it
was to get women back in the kitchen. it seems that around 70% of the women
in the UK cant cook, I'm sure that statistic holds true for the US as well
but the scary part is that 2/3 of those women would like to be able to cook
but simply dont know how or are afraid they'll fuck up

seems like today Home Ec is gone from schools, women have decided they're
too busy to teach their kids to cook and the fast food life style has taken
root. TV cooking shows in the past taught you how to make a recipe but now
they're all competition shows or gordon ramsay screaming at people

that said. my ex wife somehow had the idea that if you cut up a chicken
breast, tossed it into a pot of boiling chicken stock and dumped some egg
noodles in it then you'd have chicken soup. she couldnt understand why I
preferred to eat out or cook it myself, she had no interest in learning

cooking is not hard... you just follow the fucking recipe . yesterday i made a chicken garlic pizza that tasted better than round table . if she doesn't work or go to school and is muching then she should be cooking and cleaning . it wouldn't be fair if she didn't. you aren't a sugar-daddy are you
