Habitat: Found in Perth Australia "Down south" as we call it, near the balingnup area. They were located in the grassy/soil area beneath small pine trees.
Gills: Brown in colour, Adnate or adnexed as far as i can tell.
Stem: Ranging from 4-7 or 8cm in length, solid white/light; about 1/4-1/2cm thick and is quite easy to crush and bruise. Can't see any rings or other noteworthy items
Cap: Ranges from 3cm-around 5cm in diameter. The smallest ones are around 2cm. Mostly convex however some bend up exposing the gills when at eye level. others have a little "nipple" on top They are mostly brown in colour; some are lighter.
Spore print color: I don't really trust my eyes, dark purple looks so much like black and brown to me.
Bruising: Dark. Somewhere in the blue->black spectrum, but again I'm not willing to trust my own judgement on that. They are currently (30 hours after picking) bruised black or dark brownish/maybe blueish.
Thanks for the replies so far. This is a yield from my first adventure, where I saw a wide variation between what i assumed was one species, so may explain my caution. Thanks for the reply 5is, this matches my existing theory of what they are. How certain are we and should i wait for a TI member to comment?
