Nude carjacker hurts 7 in brutal rampage: 'Drug-addled' man shuts down town as he flips Porsche and breaks both legs of pregnant woman
A rampaging naked car-jacker wearing only his socks ran amok in Scottsdale, Arizona today, causing two terrific car collisions that injured seven people and shut down most of the city's roads during rush hour. Witness photos of the destruction caused by the man show him standing triumphantly on top a SUV while debris from the smash litters the roadside.
The first car crash was reported to the police at 1.30 p.m. after which the man is said to have left his vehicle, stripped naked and car-jacked a Toyota Prius, pulling the female passenger from the car
Minutes later, the man had motored to Shea Boulevard, near to 90th St in Scottsdale where he collided with four other vehicles, causing one of the drivers to suffer a serious injury.
By now, the man was causing panic as he exited the now totaled Toyota Prius and attempted to carjack another two vehicles before police officers arrived and arrested him.
Mark Clark, a spokesman for Scottsdale police said that the man's erratic beahviour suggests that he may have taken drugs.
Witnesses to the first serious crash at Hayden and Via De Ventura, where three people were injured, said that the man's car crashed into a Porsche, which caused the sports car to crash into another vehicle.
Exiting his car, the man began singing and chanting while he removed his clothes, ran up to a Prius, pulled the woman from the car and sped off.
The Porche driver was seriously injured during the first crash while the woman was not hurt according to ABC 15.com
After the second collision, the Prius is reported to have rolled several times before the man was ejected through the windshield.
Witnesses then claimed that the man then stood up and ran over to two SUV's and tried to car-jack them before police arrived.
Injured during the second collision were a pregnant lady who sustained two broken legs.
The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital were he is being evaluated for drug use and mental issues.
'The violence and the damage that was caused indicates that it was pretty high speeds involved,' said Clark.
'We are trying to work out what was going on with this man.'
He could face carjacking and hit and run charges added Clark.

How can they label him "Drug-addled" before they even know if there was anything in his system?
Drugs are not the basis of all societal ills.
Mental illness can be very powerful and could account for this alone.
This mindset just stigmatizes drug users and the mentally ill alike.

This is exactly what the media wants, any unexplained erratic behaviour in this day and age is drug related. Did you even consider that this guy has real issues unrelated to te lab engineered poisons (my view/opinion) that are being marketed as safe and legal highs?
Five years ago this incident would have been a mentally ill person loses it. Media has made every story of unacceptable behaviour "Drugs cause man to eat his relatives".

This story would be pretty funny if it wasn't for the pregnant women with two broken legs. Does sound like GTA S.A., all those carjackings and mayhem.
He may be standing "triumphantly" on that SUV but his freedom is going to be gone for a long time.

I don't know, and that is just the point! Miami face eater wasn't on "Bath Salts". Could be this guy wasn't/quit taking his meds. If thats the case you won't hear about it, big pharma wouldn't let that go public.
IMO these idiots may as well take rat poison, that way they don't go and fuck up other peoples lives for no other reason than wanting to leave reality behind.
Take a proven winner: shrooms, LSD, marijuana etc.
Fucking drug war is causing all of this shit so people can skirt the law and pass drug tests. Causing more pain and loss in human life than it's worth. But that's all secondary to the DOJ, DEA and budget committees.

"Bath Salts" Not Found in Naked Carjacker John Brigham's System, but Cops Say PCP Was
If you watch Fox News, you may have been led to believe that drugs known as "bath salts" are causing people in Arizona to get naked and steal cars, like in the case of John Brigham's alleged carjacking/car-crashing spree last week.
If you're trusting the cops on this one, it was PCP streaming through Brigham's veins while he frolicked around naked in the streets of Scottsdale before he stole a Toyota Prius and crashed into a bunch of cars, injuring several people in Scottsdale.
According to court documents obtained by New Times, Brigham's spree started on Friday afternoon when he blew through a red light and ran into two cars.
Brigham then began shedding his clothes and ran down Via de Ventura before he jumped on top of one of the cars he'd crashed into and started "chanting unknown statements," the documents say.
Police say Brigham then made it onto Hayden Road and carjacked a woman driving a Toyota Prius.
After making it onto Shea Boulevard and heading toward the Loop 101 entrance, Brigham hopped the median and crashed into three more cars, while the Prius flipped a few times.
Brigham kept going, as police say he tried to "forcibly enter" three other cars that were stopped on Shea before officers showed up and arrested him.
One of the people he hit on Shea was a woman who sustained two broken legs from the crash. She's also eight months' pregnant, according to the documents.
Three other people were hospitalized after their crashes with Brigham, and Brigham himself also was hospitalized.
According to the documents, the initial toxicology report showed a presence of PCP in Brigham's body.
PCP has been involved in previous strange crimes in the Valley, such as the case of Eugene Gimzelberg, who took mushrooms and PCP before searching for imaginary children in a Gilbert sewer, and ended up getting stuck/tripping in the sewer for the next 36 hours.
Brigham didn't answer any of the cops' questions, according to the documents.
Brigham's facing 15 felonies and two misdemeanors, and his bond was set at $100,000.

Thanks for the update / follow-up. Bath salts have really been the target of sensationalism lately. Every heinous human act seems to instantly result in the assumption that they are the underlying cause.
As is often the case, the public at large will never learn of the truth, and the propagandists who manipulate the media will once again have their agenda advanced.
