Hey All,
I just wanted to quick introduce myself. I'm Softpaw and I just
joined a few minutes ago. Even though I seem a little "old" to be
on this forum (I've been looking at the pics, ages, and so forth) there
is still a ton for me to learn. I'm looking forward to hearing from
people, learning from my mistakes, learning from the pros, as well as
giving any advice from my experiences as well.
About me... I live in the great state of Wisconsin. I've been here my
entire 34 years on this planet. I just finished graduate school and am currently looking for a damn job. I was a teacher (High School English) for 9 years until I became fed up with the kids and the politics so I decided to go to school for Educational Law. I finished and now my thumb is up my ass.
I'm into a lot of interesting hobbies and one is obviously Mycology. I like to do a lot of chemistry, pyrotechnics, machining, out door stuff, snow boarding, mountain biking and hanging with my girl. I've been all over the world, studied in Cuba for a semester, spent over a total of 6 months in Jamaica and have lived in the Everglade swamps, out of a canoe, for three months.
Anyhow, this is me. I hope to be talking with some of you soon!

Ed. Law is basically Education Administration with two semesters of law school. It's a lot of work and pretty lame, but it pays the bills.

I don't want to be a principal anymore. I would love to create my own Charter school in a district that needs good teachers, a good school, and a good leader. Mainly in a low economic area with higher population.

Yeah I wouldn't mind.
I already did that for an alternative school in my city. Worked out
pretty well. It was one of my grad school assignments actually.
